Why is it when anyone responds to your posts, it automatically means they care about what you believe, but your responding to their posts doesn't mean you care what they believe?

You play the game to win. What a butt stupid post.

Fair enough. I've read so many of those at this point my eyes glaze over. But I still think you're over complicating it. A winning culture for a team of 50 people isn't something you get with one player and turn on and off. It's a culture you develop over time and you don't get there by losing on purpose.

AMAZING that fans think that we're going to have a better chance at success based on picking a few spots higher
this is probably because this franchise has not done well with drafting QBs lately

this franchise is now in the hands of guys that have drafted and brought in players that have turned out pretty well considering

we will be fine no matter where we pick in the draft because the guys in charge have a clue
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

+1

Win as many games as possible for the rest of the year. Screw this "suck for Luck" nonsense. We will be fine.

Sports are not about MONEY in my mind. They're about WINNING. If you're focused on the money, you're focused on the wrong thing.
Three questions:
1. Can you really not see the contradiction in your own words?

2. If winning is the expected result, how can your expectations be too low?

3. Why bother following any team at all, if winning every game is the expected result? There is nowhere to go but down. Winning without the possibility of losing seems kinda boring to me.

There is no contradiction there, Deadskins. Sports are about winning, and winning only. Always have been and always will be. That is why winning is the expected result. If you do not believe you have a chance to win, the smart team STAYS HOME and does not bother wasting their time or the time of their fans.
Deadskins wrote:2. If winning is the expected result, how can your expectations be too low?
Winning is the expected result. TOTAL DOMINATION is what one should truly be striving for when one engages in any form of competition.

Winning without the possiblitiy of losing is actually a lot of fun. It provides the opportunity to truly see the fear and pain in your opponent's eyes. To see them totally defeated. I had that opportunity on a number of occasions working with the football team at the high school I attended, and came to realize the sheer and utter pleasure in knowing that you had won the game simply by showing up.

BTW your "car starting" analogy sucks. If your car starting is the expected result (nothing to get pumped about), what is the better than expected result? Like I said, your way has nowhere to go but down, which is why you are always dissapointed.

Why does there have to be a "better than expected" result, Deadskins? Obviously in some cases there is, but in many cases there really isn't any need for a situation where a "better than expected" result exists.

As for having nowhere to go but down.... so what? These are MY expectations, not necessarily yours or anyone else's. I learned long ago that life is not a box of chocolates, but rather a box of something else dark in color and rather mushy.

WIN WIN WIN !!!!!

Anything else is unacceptable under ALL scenarios.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

My post was a play on words (To Be or Not to Be) response to those Redskin fans who say that we should lose games to get a better draft position. I believe my post got its point across to its intended audience. Nt saying it changed minds, but it got it's point across. Didn't it feel good to win another game? Not taking about culture, but just as a fan of the Redskins cherishing the winning feeling.

there is absolutely NO WAY that players or coaches can practice & play "to lose" on Sundays

we'd all like to be in the top 5 - it is MUCH MORE important to continue to add players that make the other players better

We WILL have a good QB here next season
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
