Tim Tebow Nation

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Some people have names that just work better that way, like Barry Sanders or Jerry Jones.

I prefer die cowboys die's name for him: Tim T-Bone.

Also, it didn't seem like he had a very good game. Two pretty good throws, a couple runs and then a steaming pile of trash...

I think it was more how the team rallied around him, no they didn't win but maybe there was some spark.

Just like they always say: Mike Vick

same thing......... Frankly, I like Timmy TeeBow. Check archived posts. He will succeed in the NFL.

The fans in Denver get what they want - Tebow is not the answer at QB .... yet

coaches in the NFL all seem to agree that Tebow is not ready to run an NFL offense - Denver will have a VERY limited offensive game plan in place for him to use

I really like Tebow and hope that he can help Denver eventually but he's in a very difficult situation there - both Elway and Fox do not really think he's going to work out - Denver is in a really bad place because of Kyle Orton's inability to get anything going

Denver is one of the five franchises that will be in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Tim Tebow is a winner but the offensive game plan that's in place there is not suited for him

I think he'll be effective in the NFL but ... this situation is not good

Vick is more elusive and he still gets hit a lot - Tebow would not last long doing that

Tebow needs an offense that suits him - that is not what Denver has in place
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

I don't hear anyone "over rating" him...

He was a reach where Denver drafted him... had he been taken in the late second or third by a team that could afford to wait a couple of years, he'd have been a good deal... but, he remains not ready for prime time. Given adequate attention and coaching, he will be fine... but, obviously, that's not going to happen in Denver... which may be his undoing.

On the right team, his drive, determination, and leadership could be harnessed, and his potential slowly massaged and tuned.

He is what he is. He would have been a good pick up for a team like New England, San Diego, New Orleans, or (at that time) Indianapolis... where there would have been no pressure to carry the load, and he could occasionally be trotted out for special plays... until he was either ready to take over... or become a tradable commodity based on a solid pre-season performance.

For literally the greatest college player ever to play the game (and I don't even consider that debateable -- and this coming from someone who is not a fan or an anti-fan), I wouldn't say he is over rated in the least bit.

He was taken in the mid-20s of the first round. I am not sure anyone has said he is that great. Personally, I think that he is very similar a QB to Newton -- who was taken #1. Not sure how you can say he is overrated after he has basically only played a couple actual games -- unless you are in the "anti-religion" camp.

Everything about him will forgiven and forgotten if he wins.

I have no doubt that he will be a good QB in this league. Overpriced in the Draft? Maybe. But why would i criticize the Broncos for picking him up when we had ourselves perhaps the GREATEST BUST in the history of the entire NFL Draft picking a QB about a decade ago who's name i do not even want to repeat???
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

I'm just sick of how the media shoves him and his image down our throats. There are other things going on other than Tebow. He played like crap for more than 3 quarters and then against a terrible Miami defense played well for the last 3 minutes of a game.

And comparing him to Newton is ridiculous. Newton proved almost everyone wrong through about 3 games this year. Newton has all the physical tools and most importantly he can throw the ball which is a pretty important attribute in the NFL. We saw that first hand last week. Tebow can't throw the ball, he is a good football player but not a good QB and I don't think he ever will be. If he does, good for him because he seems like a nice guy but I just don't think he can do it. And he was a huge reach in the draft, there's no doubt about that. No one had him going in the first round.
RIP SEAN TAYLOR #21

I don't really care for Tebow one way or the other.

On the one hand, it hasn't stopped surprising me how distasteful the media are in covering him. I'm pretty sure they assign a camera to him full-time on gameday. And they love to talk about how they love to talk about him. It's nearly pornographic. (When was the last time, before Thursday night, that you saw cameras all zoomed in on the prayer circle that happens after every NFL game?)

On the other hand, I also get a kind of perverse pleasure out of how annoyed people get at the coverage and at Tebow and his beliefs. I don't know how they can let it bug them that much, but with every improbable win the ulcers seem to grow just that much more.

It's pretty easy to keep entertained when you don't have a dog in the fight. :D

Have you watched anything NFL related in the past couple of days? They referred to him as a "deity" several times BEFORE their win over the Jets on Thursday. The media has pounced all over Jake Plummer for calling Tebow out on constantly throwing his Jesus-lovin' rants in our faces after every good play.

Would you say that Mark Sanchez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and/or Matt Hasselbeck (all QB's on teams with the same record as the Broncos) are getting the same amount of attention and coverage in the media?
