So what did we profit going back to Grossman?

He did give us a chance to win, but in the end, his crucial "did not see the LB" took the chance away.

With Beck, there is hope with playing time, he will get better. With Grossman, his career performance, says that he won't get better.

Who do I want to start against Dallas next week? I have to go with Grossman because I hate losing to the Cowboys and Grossman gives us a better chance to win and right now, Beck doesn't.

It really doesn't matter which QB we start. This season is done. Let's just hope we are successful in FA and the draft.

Beating the pukes will always matter and Grossman gives us the better chance.

I just hope our coaches are out scouting on Saturday instead of getting ready for the game. This season was really over before it began. We are not ready to be competitive or be an attacking offense. We don't have the tools.

And add in the one bright spot Hankerson, who has a career day, ends up getting injured too. This whole season has turned into what feels like the worst hangover ever. -drinking :puke:

Though I think that Beck should start to get him more experience, he was playing scared and looked very shaky in the pocket in the last two games which was making him ineffective and might have been hurting team morale. I suspect that Shanny saw more of that in practice for him to pick Rex to start today.

Beck will get his chance for more experience at some point this season, but against Dallas, we need to have a QB with confidence because there will be no running game.

Calm down people. We knew we did not have a starting QB and still had several other holes from the beginning of the season. No surprises here.

I am still hoping for an 8 - 8 season as unlikely as that might seem now.

Getting better than last season, not there yet by a long shot. For what it is worth, either QB will not get it done next week.

One more frustrating season under the Dan Snyder era.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

With you on the last two points. The D is better than last year. Giving up less points and less yardage, but who thought all the holes would be plugged in one off season? The offense regressed and that is the difference for this season.

Everyone knew that Grossman and/or Beck starting needed a running game to be effective- as we all can see that that running game didn't materialize against the better run defenses.

If Beck starts I will watch another game. He is boring. Grossman will at least throw the ball more than 10 yards. We will lose regardless, at least make it fun to watch.

Look, neither QB is going to "give us a better chance to win", we have more problems than just the QB position. This team has serious holes in it that have been exposed partly due to injury.
Support the troops, especially our snipers.

I am losing all hope in our kicking game. Tim Ryan was saying that Graham Gano was making 63 yarders in pre-game warmups, yet missing 40 yarders in the game. How about practicing at the distances you may see in the game?

Making 63 yarders left-to-right (from the camera's perspective), with the wind.

Coming from a previous kicker, it's hard to make kicks when the wind suddenly stops and you factored that in. That's why not only Gano missed but also Miami's kicker missed from that end. His miss was at 49 yds. I'm sure he practiced that. On the first miss, he got very upset at the holder about something.

Well after watching today's debacle, if anyone on this board is not convinced we have to fo QB, OL, OL in the first three rounds next year you're kidding yourselves. Our O-line is terrible, and our QBs are horrid.

If there was a modicum of competence on our offense, it would not be necessary to repeatedly attempt low percentage kicks in hopes of salvaging a score. Our kicking game is fine.

Watching NFL Redzone today kickers were missing FG attempts all over the league today. Unfortunately Gano decided to join in that party today.

The reason we missed our FG's today had to do with the weather or lack of wind gusts that were factors.

Today pretty clearly showed that Grossman makes us more competitive week in, week out. He made a dozen pass attempts that Beck simply has not been capable of making. (It was great to see a pass sail more than 20 yards in the air!)

Sure Beck might have more upside in the long run, but frankly I have not seen one shred of evidence that Beck has any chance of being a franchise player. So I say stick with Grossman for the rest of the year (unless he totally tanks), trying to get as many wins as we can to build on for next year.

Hankerson is developing nicely. Ryan Kerrigan is now, IMHO, better than Orakpo. Great debut for Perry Riley.

We've got the foundation to take the next step, next year. But it has to start with a better QB and a few more pieces on the offensive line. Without that we won't be moving forward.

Great points all around. Riley and Hank looked good. I still love Orakpo, but eventually he's going to have to find a way to just run thru these holds if they're not calling them. Great players find a way.

Not convinced........we need a QB, OL,OL OL, OL, OL, OL, plus OL for any additinal picks. Not necessarily in that order.

Crap, I would even be interested in giving Crampton (sp?) a chance. He couldn't do worse that the 2 we have.
