Predictions for Redskins Vs. Bills
I have become a big fan of Greg Cosell of NFL Films. You can catch him on Thursdays on ESPN 980.com at 5:00 pm on the "Sports Reporters."
He liked what he saw in Beck against Carolina. He said that Beck's decision making was very good. He knew what receivers to throw the ball to. Coselll said that the Bills have no pass rush and cannot defend the run. With Beck's work ethic, I expect him to get better with each game.
For me, all of this together spells a very good game by Beck and a much improved offensive performance.
The O line played better than expected last week and should fare well against a weak pass rush, so we should run. I expect to see more of Roy Helu this week and see him break a long one or two.
My biggest concern is Fitzgpatrick and the Bills passing attack. Cosell says he is like a point guard. The Bills goal is for him to get the ball out quickly and to anybody who is open. The Bills have given up only 6 sacks. The way our man coverage has left receivers open in the last two games, Fitzpatrick will be hitting guys underneath all day long.
Hasett has to do something different for coverage. Gamble and play tighter coverage and get some picks. Hall is questionable to play and that could hurt if he doesn't play because this is the game to set him in position to jump routes. I believe that he will play. I predict that we will get turnovers this game because of the more aggressive coverage.
The Giants showed that the Bills can be beaten at home and the Bills are not really playing at home (O Canada!). Teams coming off the bye week have not fared well (only 3 teams have won).
The offense must score 30 points to win this game.
Redskins 31 - Bills 24.

My "predictions" in these threads have mostly been homer picks.
Realistically, I think we're gonna lose.
I think they will spread us out. If we play nickel our linebackers won't tackle well enough in space to stop their run. If we play base D they will throw on us.
I agree with the original post in that we will need to play some man and jump a few patterns if we are gonna beat these guys.
The bye has hurt teams this year.
Bills 30 'Skins 20
Hope I'm wrong.

I predict Ryan Fitzpatrick throws three picks. Why? He just signed a huge deal......and it's Buffalo.
I also expect their running back to tear us up.
Finally, I absolutely predict a miserable time for myself at a birthday party at Chucky Cheese's conveniently schedule between 1:00 & 3:30. The kids dad is an Iggles fan. Damn him.

I hadn't looked at the schedule, but that's great if it's so.DarthMonk wrote:Hey, man - I think it's a 4:00 kickoff!Burgundy&Wha? wrote:I predict Ryan Fitzpatrick throws three picks. Why? He just signed a huge deal......and it's Buffalo.

I pick the Redskins every week in every pool I'm in. I won it last year and I also won 5 or 6 years ago. I've won about $4,000 on roughly $700 in pool fees. $100 per year with over 100 players. A lot of the money goes in weekly prizes. I have won some of those but I tend to do better in the long haul prizes.DarthMonk wrote:My "predictions" in these threads have mostly been homer picks.

We are fans of the best team to support. You have to believe. I may be a homer, but if I'm a blind one it works since blindness apparently pays well.
Hail to the Redskins!

I was a fan when Allen was the HC and every game seemed to go down to the last minute
I also was a fan during the Jack Kent Cooke era
ANYONE that was a fan during the Snyder/Cerrato fiasco has to be a die-hard fan - that was the worst
now we have Allen & Shanahan running things and this franchise is getting to be a competitive group again
I'm a Redskins fan - I want to win every week but am not surprised when we don't ONLY because it's going to take time to get this program back to the top again

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

It might go away. (For me, it's not a 100% constant, as it appears to be for many on the board.) But first I'll have to see some improvement in this team, because while we were on track at the beginning of the year, there's been a slight detour that has me nervous.grampi wrote:Me too. That feeling's not going away next week either....Irn-Bru wrote:I've had a bad feeling about our odds each week starting with the Eagles game. It hasn't gone away yet.
Nothing that can't be fixed, though. So I'm hoping the team can bring it back around starting this week.
When I was a teen I used to dream at night before games at what our offensive line (hogs) would do to our opponents defensive line. I used to dream about what Dexter and Mann would do to their quarterbacks. I used to dream about what Dave and Grant would do to stop the run. I am with you bro and Allen is what got us winning and Vince got us to believe.SkinsJock wrote:I was a fan when Allen was the HC and every game seemed to go down to the last minute

Unfortunately, our young Redskins fans will never truly understand.

I predict a big game for Austin.. Helu and torain will hold it down and Beck will be more comfortable. The bills D is ranked pretty poor. Our D will be solid like they have been all year... We just need to keep the O on the field to keep our D fresh. We crush the bills hopefully refueling hope for all the hopeless fans of B&G HAIL
