Quarterback??

Rex Grossman was released from the hospital with pneumonia per Profootballtalk.com. If he cannot play and something happens to Beck, the only other quarterback on the roster is Crompton on the practice squad. I seem to remember seeing Crompton in the pre-season and do not remember his playing being memorable.

Does anyone have any info on Crompton?

He played at Tenn I believe. He was an UFA and spent time in New England.

Was on the Buccaneers roster in preseason. Played against us in the last game. You could always go back and watch it if you'd like

I'm guessing Grossman is going to be ok enough to return as a backup or else they would haave brought Crompton up from the practice squad by now.

Of course if he's not healthy enough they can go with Austin, which is what they would have done against the Panthers if Beck went down.
