Hightower to be the starter!
At least that is how they have it on the depth chart.

I started him too and he got me: 0
The rest of my team is solid so I'll still pull off a WIN.
Here is Shanny's explaination:

Here is Shanny's explaination:
(FFToday) Veteran running back Tim Hightower started the Redskins' first four games and was announced as the starter Sunday at FedEx Field. But when Washington's offense took the field, Ryan Torain was the running back, and Hightower didn't play a snap. Coach Mike Shanahan said after the game that he elected to rest Hightower, who has been battling a sore shoulder. "As I told Tim before the game, if I had to have him, if somebody went down, he was going to play, but that was the only situation he would play," Shanahan said.

Thanks for the info on Hightower sittingout the game despite the intro.
classic Mike - intro one RB and then start the other RB
coulda, woulda, shoulda -
we were not going to do well with our running game with the way the eagles defense were playing at the outset and NO adjustment by the O line coaches
Doc Walker reported that we lost Kory because of an illegal block and the players were trying to get the offensive coaches to adjust to this
our offensive game planning AND play calling has left a lot to be desired - this will HOPEFULLY change with the new QB
we all know that our O line is a work in progress and we need better depth
we're getting better - we'll be better offensively with Beck
hopefully we can go 2-2 in the next 4 games - 3 of which are on the road

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Doc Walker reported that we lost Kory because of an illegal block
Which is what I think caused Williams' Unsportsmanlike... he saw it, and was PISSED. As is typical of refs... they see the retaliation.
There was a shot of Kory sitting on the ground, describing how he was injured to the trainer... I saw then that he was indicating an illegal block.
In a balanced world, the League will look at this, and fine and suspend the offending player. It was completely unnecessary.

Where the league sees from replays that a player clearly hurts another player, the NFL should fine that player and make him sit out for the same period of time that the injured player is out
Doc Walker siad that the players on the sideline were really pissed off at the way the eagles defensive players were intenionally blocking them and trying to hurt them

good point LPJ - I'm sure that Kory would have preferred the defensive linemen just go out there and chop block every eagles SOB O lineman
trying to play defense was NOT getting it done - they should have taken 2 or 3 starters out for the season like the eagles did to Kory

What are you talking about with intentional blocks on the defense? The defense does not block so what were they actually doing?SkinsJock wrote:Where the league sees from replays that a player clearly hurts another player, the NFL should fine that player and make him sit out for the same period of time that the injured player is out

The injury happened in the aftermath of an interception, when the defensive linemen became "blockers"
