It will be hard to perform any worse than we did today. The OC and QB were just awful. Kyle needs to understand the limitations Grossman and Beck have and direct an offense that suits their limited capabilities. I look for Beck to start next week and we all know we need a major upgrade at QB for next year.

Relax, its 1 loss.
we are 1-2 in the past 3 games. just a thought.
i am on board with the prevailing sentiments here:
1) i was just thinking the other day "hm, last year the officiating was abysmal but so far this year much better"... spoke too soon. absolutely atrocious officiating today. that being said, we completely deserved the loss.
because of:
2) |c/w|ouldn't run against the worst run defense in the league. inexplicable.
3) Grossman. worst performance i have seen by an NFL QB in years. threw maybe one decent Actual Pass (discluding little dumpoffs and screens, though he messed up some of those too) the whole game, almost every other one was a horrifically bad decision and/or horrifically bad throw. 2nd INT should have been a TD but was underthrown, and he had a good pocket.
4) Shanahan for not realizing sooner that his QB had completely lost himself mentally and could no longer play; for not getting him out of there sooner. defied all common sense to send him in there after halftime. probably would've won if we'd put Beck in after halftime.
5) disappointing to not be able to stop them on the ground at the end of the game, but i won't put it on the defense. they held a great offense to 20 points and none in the 2nd half despite being on the field ALL GAME LONG, constantly sent back out there by Rex's 3-and-outs and INTs. created some turnovers only to have Rex give it right back away.
final thought:
tough, tough loss to swallow especially considering we could've ended their season but now they feel rejuvenated. BUT, the loss is worth it if it rids us of Grossman. he was a sinking ship. i feel bad for the guy and don't know what started going wrong on his head but we can't go down with him. if he holds onto the starting job we need to start a riot on the field at the next home game until he is removed. i can not deal with another '04/'06-type brunellian ordeal where the coach refuses to bench the horrendous QB game after game after game. MY HEAD WILL EXPLODE IF THAT HAPPENS.

Its a deep qb draft this year. So we got that goin for us...which is good

thats more of a hingsight thing..
Not if you were screaming for an onside BEFORE they kicked off.
i definitely thought we'd go for the onside and was displeased and a bit bewildered when we didn't.

As a fan, I thought that the D looked gassed and would have kicked the onside kick, so I hear where you are coming from; however, the game conditions (2:44 with two time outs) called for the kick deep. I think the odds were more in favore of our D stopping them, when they knew that the Eagles were going to run, than us recovering an onside kick. It just didn't happen for whatever reason.
Did Shanny think the D was gassed? I guess not - in the long run it sent a vote fo confidence to the D that managed to shut out the Eagles in the second half despite being on the field almost the whole game.
