who will replace Reid?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

who will replace Reid?

Post by HarleyHog »

The media seem to think that after we defeat the Giggles on Sunday that Andy will lose his job. God, I hope so. His team has been a huge pain in our collective ascot for too long. Maybe we can negotiate them a good price to bring in Zorn. If they do change leadership, we might gain respite for a couple of seasons while they retool.

They would be morons to get rid of Reid.
Support the troops, especially our snipers.

No coach would go there if Reid was fired. Not to mention, Reid would/could go almost anywhere he wanted to next year.

We are talking about the Philadelphia fanbase, that is kinda redundant.

Many years ago, I did basic at Ft. Dix in NJ, and they bussed thousands of army trainees to the Army/Navy game at the old Vet. After the game, the bus station is full of soldiers queing up for the ride back to base. Two locals tried to pick a fight by mocking the uniforms and haircuts. Tough? Maybe. Brave? Perhaps. Smart? Um, no! This formed my opinion of the brother-lovers in Philthy, and nothing over the years has made me feel the need to reassess.

First lets hope we beat the EGirls.

Second, just because the philty gan base is filled with idiots, it doesn't mean the owner is an idiot.

Reid is safe until the end of the season.

But the media think so!
They are professional pundits and wouldn't risk tarnishing their sterling reputations with irresponsible speculation just to create a buzz! We're talking about the third estate here, (or is it the fifth column? I forget) responsible journalism, blah blah blah ...

Anyway, I don't expect them to fire him at the end of the season, and certainly not midseason, but as I said, we can always hope.

I'm loving the media circus NOT being in our camp.
I disagree on the thought that no coach would jump on the opening if it happened. A few might balk, but someone would take the job. If it was Mr. Zorn, I would be happy, but we can always hope.

The last thing we want is for the Eagles to fire Reid and get some coach who can actually win a big game.

Until shown otherwise, the Redskins are underdogs. The Eagles should win. The Redskins are over-matched, will be lucky even to stay in the same field as the <Eagles>.

Keep repeating that, game after game, replacing "Eagles" with who ever the Skins are playing.

(Note, for young one: this is the old-time Joe Gibbs line: "I don't know why we are even in the same league as the Bears. Gosh, it's an honor just to shake Mike Ditka's hand." etc etc. Then the Hogs would trample the Bears "46 defense". Or pound the Eagles' Jerome Brown and Reggie White so hard that they looked like tent-pegs...after the circus tent has been raised.)

Thank you for reminding fans that our beloved team has no business on the field with this quality Eagles team... Frankly, I don't understand the point of even watching the game.

Me neither, CT. Maybe I'll just follow out of curiosity or habit or something, but, really, the <Eagles> are about ten times better than the Redskins. Hey, that's what the wise people said all through the '91 season, right?

+1

2011 is the last year of his contract...

He's the GM and Head Coach...

Safe until the end of the season? Of course he's safe... look at the guys he brought in this offseason...

It's been Win or Go Home for Andy from the start of the 2011 season...

The Owner will let it run it's course no matter how far off course thy go in 2011.

Atfer the season if that Trophy Case is still M-T...

Like I said "t's been Win or Go Home for Andy from the start of the 2011 season", No Trophy no 2012

NOBODY with any real intelligence or knowlege is thinking that the eagles will replace Reid before the end of this season as HC

NOBODY

the eagles are favored to win by everyone

we don't have a chance - I've got a tee time

this game won't be close - Redskins will be 4-1 by 4pm
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

That's hilarious.

Years ago I heard Paul Harvey tell a story about two Crips following a couple of "skinheads" through a mall in Seattle. They attacked the "skinheads". Big problem, they weren't "skinheads", they were U.S. Army Rangers. How do you think that ended up?

Ah, now SkinsJock has his brain screwed down right. The Redskins have not won a game all season, and won't. Anything that says different is a typographical error. The <Eagles> are the best team since Jim Thorpe.
