Eagles are a wounded lion and are still dangerous while wounded....lack of training camp is affecting them...they need to put the turnovers away..but i like the eagles in this game

The Eagles aren't wounded anything. They have moved the ball on every team that they played thanks to Vick and McCoy. The Eagles aren't a good "TEAM." But they still have the great talent in some positions to make them dangerous.

They have glaring weaknesses that won't go away this season - O line and Linebackers. They have a new DC that doens't know how to use his stud secondary. Asomugha in zone coverage - get real. Right now, they go as Vick goes. Vick throws interceptions - they lose - not even his 400 yard passing and hundred yard rushing can't save them against his interceptions, because the D can't stop anyone.

I don't think that anyone on the Skins roster is approaching this game as playing a 1-4 team. It is a division rival that can strike from anywhere on the field in quick fashion.

Redskins win because they know their opponent's weaknesses and exploit them. They know what they need to do to contain Vick. Unless, we knock him out of the game (With Dirty 30 in the game that is a possibility), contain him is the best we can hope for and that is good enough (The Bills didn't stop him - he passed for over 400 yards and rushed for nearly 100 (not sure if he went over 100).

They will force Vick to stay in the pocket and force him to throw interceptions. Haslett is teaching them to stay under control when they rush him.

The Cover 2 was a great plan the first game last year, Haslett has something new cooking this game.

On Offense, Good Rex shows up and play for 4 quarters. I will predict that we see Rex's best game as a Skins thus far.

Banks gets it going on the return game.

Redskins 27 - Eagles 20!

This is a scary game IMO.. this is another great test for this team to see if they really have started to figure things out..

This is one of the biggest games we've had in the last few years..even at 3 & 1 there are still alot of doubters out there and this Eagles team is extremely talented despite their record and they absolutely HAVE to get this win.. 1 & 5 ends their season and creates unimaginable drama heading into a bye week..

If we can capitalize on the chance to put them away and jump out to a 4 & 1 start it could do wonders for this team .. 3 & 1 is nice but 4 & 1 ( 2-1 in the division) while putting the final nail in the coffin of a division rival says alot about what this team could accomplish IF they get it done.

Im a believer and I cant wait for this team to make a believer out of the nation after this game HTTR [/u]

let's be realistic. Skins 52 Eagles 17. Torain and or Hightower with three rushing touchdowns.

This team is too jacked up to lose IMO.. Our offense will be back and fourth but with this bye I guarantee the squad is pumped up and ready to make a statement. Home crowd and let's face it we got a week off and the fecals are tending their wounds and wary with doubt about what our team will do. The hits will be loud and hard and I hope the Skins have the taste for blood and can make this step- Out of mediocre into serious business and contention. I'm nervous as all get out but like all fans I'm eager and so hopeful we beat them and beat them bad.

man...

I have no doubt that our defense can hold Philly to under 21 points... But a couple of things worry me.

1. It doesn't matter if we can hold them to 17 points if we can't score more points than them. Our inability to score consistently really worries me.

2. Philly has a penchant for the big/quick play and that's something that we've given up. We can't let them put a ton of points on the board.

If we can score early and put up 21 points, we can win this game. We cannot let them get too far aheard because we're way too eager to abandon the run. I'd like to see Torrain start the game and hammer a soft defense. Unlike many people here, I'd rather see Tim finish the game. Why? I think Torrain brings a spark to the offense that we need to establish EARLY!! I don't want to see Tim get bottled up for 3/4 of the game and then Torrain is put in but we're too far behind to really estalish the run.

Its a division game, usually those are low scoring and close.

We must run the ball this week, I really dont want Grossman taking alot of chances into that secondary. We can make hay with short passes to the backs and into the LB zone with Moss,Davis and Cooley. Gotta exploit their LB's.

Defense just needs to keep everything in front of them, Alot of team speed on Philly offense. respect it and we should be ok there. Should have an opportunity for turnovers if they are patient. If they try to force a play for a turnover, that speed will burn us. D.Hall needs to be particularly diciplined this week.

Continue doing what we do well, stop the run, dominate the clock, minimize penalties.

This is a tough game - both franchises are aware of the ramifications of an eagles loss

hopefully this OC will commit to the run game using BOTH Hightower & Torrain - Torrain can batter this eagles run D

Grossman does not know how to 'help' his offense score points

WE WIN .. because of the defense ..... & because Beck comes in to score some points
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'm worried about this game just like any other. Philly NEEDS a win. They have big play "pop" ability. They've been losing because of turnovers. If we don't grab our opportunities, then it'll be a long day.

I feel strongly that our run offense can do well. However, it would not surprise me in the least to see them go man-to-man and stack the line. They have the DB's to do so. Only the incompetence of their DC has kept them in zone.

I WANT a victory, but I'm nervous. They're dangerous. In the recent past, our teams have been the nice guys that let a team like Philly off the hook. Hopefully the mentality of this unit is different. I would LOVE to step on their necks early and keep the pressure on all day. I'd love to see 300+ yards in rushing and both Vick and DeSean jackson knocked out by hard, clean hits.

To make this happen, I'm willing to say "please." ;)

I am worried about this game, as I do any division game. Living here in Philly I have seen the Eagles up close for many years and something about this team feels different. I am not sure they have the heart to win this game.

11 "probables", a "questionable", and 2 "outs."

4 losses.

They are a bit wounded. Speaking figuratively they are a desperate wounded animal. This game is a toss-up and we are at home. We should win. We need to remember last year then forget it. We need to be hungry and then play for 4 quarters.

I am concerned about new guys (Kerrigan) rushing under control. I'd like to "hurt" Vick. Nothing maliscious - just see him leave.

23 -17 our way.

We win but it's a game to the end. Vick runs up and down the field, but we limit the O to him and turnovers do them in. Our 3-4 D is the difference, far better suited then the 4-3, which would have been a slow death.

Vick's effectiveness correlates directly to connecting with DeSean. Over/under coverage on him has taken a lot of that POP out of the Giggles, hopefully Haslett keeps that in mind. I look for a BIG turnover plus day. Kerrigan will do something special (naturally), RAK will rock, LL will LL (Lay Low) some ball carriers, and DHall will finally do something (positive) worth talking about.

WHY? - where's the reasoning here? please enlighten me

Vick just absolutely, by himself, demolished the Bills defense - 400 yards passing, 100 yards rushing

DID IT HELP? ... THAT was only last week - what does last year or the last 10 years have to do with this game?

give me a little clearer picture here
