That's a great buy - it's a very well built yacht and the investors made a good deal
- $70mil for a 225ft yacht built in 2005 by Amels, is really a great price
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I know nothing about boats, yachts or $70million. So, good for him?
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

As of 11/27/07, I resolve to never again read any version of the Washington Post.

Paul Allen (Seattle??) owns 2 yachts and they are BOTH in the top 5 of the biggest yachts in the world
Larry Ellison of Oracle fame also owns one of the top 5 yachts

back to Snyder's yacht - typically these yachts are VERY rarely used by the owners - they are chartered out almost all the time
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

Only on DC is this news. Any other NFL owner buys the same hatch and not a peep would be heard.

Among its many other features:
1. Looks great from March to August, then fails to perform from September to January.
2. Can be replaced every three years by another yacht that will seem much better than the previous yacht, yet will quickly fall out of favor when another, even better, yacht becomes available.
3. Has an on-board courtroom to help pursue frivolous lawsuits at sea.
4. Includes a kid-sized bed so Tom Cruise will have a place to sleep when he visits.
5. The crew of 18 includes a manager named Danny. He cannot be fired for any reason, even if his crew repeatedly spills wine on guests, botches meal service and blocks the back of the boat during smoke breaks.
6. At $8.75, beers are a bargain.
7. Needs to be docked 10 miles away from Washington, D.C., in the middle of nowhere at a nondescript location with not enough parking and too few roads to handle the crush of passengers.
8. Won't be as big as the yacht Jerry Jones inevitably purchases.

That is a beautiful looking boat. Would love to take a tour of it . . . while it's in the Mediterranean somewhere.

I been thru the Med 8 times, but the ships I was on were CVN-71 and 73. The Med is beautiful, but most ports that can handle 5000 people and a ship 1100 ft long all trend to look the same.

Kerrigan and Orakpo bought a yacht together and plan on setting out this weekend. They made a video of their new boat.

I'm glad the dude spent a boatload of money on a boat, in th past he wouldn't have had time to do such things. He was too busy spending boatloads of money on duds.
