Chris Cooley Says His Knee Is Finally Healing

"Chris Cooley finished up his workday at Redskins Park earlier this week, showered, changed and wandered into the film room. He wanted to compare that afternoon's practice to one a couple of weeks earlier. The eighth-year tight end knew he felt different — though his ailing left knee was certainly sore — but he needed to see the visual evidence. While Cooley has waited for his knee to fully recover, his friend and teammate Fred Davis has quickly emerged as the team's leading receiver with 191 yards on 11 catches through two games. Cooley, meanwhile, has spent a good chunk of those games on the sideline. Last Sunday he failed to catch a pass, in fact, for just the second time since his"

Get ready for attack of the two headed monster. How awesome to have two go-to guys on the field at the same time. Both can play tight. Both can split out. Both can catch. Both can pick up yards after the catch.

This is known in some medical circles as "The Fred Davis Cure".

Captain Chaos and Fred "the Punisher" Davis. Gotta figure they'll cost some defensive coordinators some sleepless nights. I love the play selection versatility that the two and three TE sets bring. What a pleasant beginning to a new era. A D that can defend, and an O with lots of viable weapons. Where has this group been hiding these these long years?

Yeah, yeah, I know, college, high school, POP warner ...

Cooley is clutch and Davis delivers - both make house calls on Sundays & certain Mondays

over the past 12 years, The Redskins have had the talent - it just hasn't been packaged properly

Even the players that were here before Bruce & Mike came in are not the same as they were - this franchise is changing

This is the Shanaplan at work and it's not near as good as it's going to be with another draft & more free agents

GOTTA LOVE IT
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I do believe you are right... this year may be OK... may even be pretty darned good... but, what will one more high quality draft give us?

These guys may not have started well but they were trying to see if ANYTHING could be salvaged

They REALLY needed a QB and how were they to know that McNabb was not going to "see the light" OR make an effort to adjust
THEN they showed great restraint and didn't just bring in the best available QB
PLUS they have added some players that will be here for a while

No matter what happens here for the rest of this season (AND we are looking like we're going to be a force) we are finally seeing what happens when the franchise is managed properly

Players like Cooley have really bought into what is happening here and have shown that they will do whatever these guys want because that's what Mike DEMANDS from his players
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
