The only thing I worry about with Rex is his mobility and his consistency. Rex has shown he can be a good QB, problem is that every other week.
I think you are exactly right. If you look at Grossman's stats from the three games he played last year, he wasn't terrible. And you can argue that in those three games our WR situation was much worse, our OL was worse and our running game was non-existent. We'll find out this weekend if those things have improved.
We don't have Tom Brady at QB, but we don't have Akili Smith either. Everybody needs to just settle down and give the man a chance.
I believe that the fact that Grossman had a decent outing against the Giants helped with the decision to have him start
I have no illusions about Grossman and I'm sure that defenses are going to concentrate on stopping the run
BUT .... that is basic football - Mike & Kyle ALSO know this - Grossman will be given some passing plays EARLY
we are going to see VERY basic football from both sides here
I just feel that the giants will not be ready for the intensity that they are going to see from this group on Sunday
BOTH defenses are going to focus on stopping the run - we will do it better - bank on it
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I think Tuck is also out. That should help us a lot.

Don't start the season off with a run!
You gotta take a shot downfield early. Even if you don't complete it you've indicated that you can and will take shots so the D has to account for that - which opens up the run game a bit.
Throw in a screen or two when the Gs are stunting and the run game opens up more.
A few catches and a few runs will then open up play action.

The giants are going to want to run the ball to use up clock because they are going to want to 'help' their defense which is not where it should be
The Redskins are going to try and keep the ball on the ground and try and 'help' the offensive line by mixing in PA passes - the giants secondary is going to be 'tested' because we will be able to establish the run game with the ZBS
our defense will be 'up' for stopping the giants run game
