I seem to recall that Sonny always expected himself to start as well, but Billy did a fair share. Shanahan said he was looking for one to separate himself, I think Beck is doing that with tempo and by setting his mind into starter mode. If he is starting, its because he has acted like that was the case since the lockout began.say something enough, and people often start to believe it. This is Why we shouldn't feed trolls.this is why we should say:
We will win the East
We WILL win the East
WE WILL win the East
WE WILL WIN the East
WE WILL WIN THE EAST!!!

I would not say they are terrible, just not in the upper level of good. Grossman is a known quarterback quality, mid range or less good. If Beck is equal or slightly better than he is still in the mid range or less good. They are both servicable so to speak but not the long term answer.

grossman not a big fan of
beck unproven shows signs here and there but has that uncertainty about him which to me say he just might turn into a QB yet
no i don't claim to know what shanny knows just my observations on the situation at QB.
beck strong arm more athletic ..... seems to have dancy feet at times.

Whoever our QB will be, his role will likely be "TRENT DILFEResque".

Go out there and don't loose us the freakin' game. Let the other players step up on offense and defense and win the game for us..

Worked for the Ravens.

Could work for us, right?

Working for the Ravens? I assume you mean, it worked as far as Dilfer managing the the O. Yes, it worked in that since. We don't have the Defense to to take it all the way like the Ravens.

Sure it can work as far as managing the offense. Look at Grossman in the last three games of last year. Grossman had the shaky start against Dallas and contributed to the loss, but he didn't lose the game. Better defensive play, which we will have, would have won that game. Jax - he didn't play well, but he played well enough to win. In the Giant's game, two blind side fumbles cannot be attributed to him - a lttule blocking on Osi, not easy task (Cooley was assigned on one of those fumbles), but it would have helped. Grossman played well enough to win that game. Can't give a up a 90 yrd TD and can't miss 30 yard FGs either.

I hadn't heard that. Sonny would know.

Sonny would know what? That when the red light comes on its time to charge his segway? Do you really think that if Shanny is keeping the QB situation from the media he would tell one of the biggest blabbermouths associated with the team?

This is not the Steve Spurrier coaches of the past. We are dealing with real life actual legit coaches that instead of finding Sonny amusing probably find him rather annoying as I do.

Sonny, Lavar and Brian Mitchell should all get their own show called "lets talk about nothing". Lavar could inturrupt Sonny all night talking about giving his heart and soul for the team before going to NY...and Brian Mitchell could make really loud audible noises and play with lincoln logs as they play mario cart together.

Wait, I love BMitch as a radio personality. He, unlike most of the radio flunked in town will tell it to you straight. No suger coating, no hate mongering, just the straight skinny. If the team is doing poorly he says so, if they do well but still need work he will tell you that to, and if they are on the right track he will tell you that to. No agenda, just truth.

i wish he would replace Mike "not so" Wise! If wish Kevin and Rock would replace Czabe and Andy "Mr Sarcastic" Polin.

I suppose I was somewhat harsh on B Mitch. However it only takes two to play Mario Cart and after 7pm when Sonny goes to bed Lavar can play against the computer on "novice" and tweet about his glorious victories.

I completely agree with you.

If Mike agreed with that assessment he'd do something about it

IF Mike keeps one or both of these QBs then I'd say he does not agree with either of you

btw - Mike has forgotten MORE than either of you will EVER know about QBs in the NFL

Neither may be any good but they are NOT both terrible

goes to show how much you guys can tell about QBs

I don't really care much about what you both think about this franchise
it's V obvious that neither of you is much of an evaluator of NFL players

I am looking forward to rubbing it in a little this season though

You know SkinsJock, I really do appreciate what you had to say. I certainly apologize that we disagree on this particular subject. I will be on this board all year so I look forward to the season and also hearing everything that you disagree with me on.

I was perhaps a little harsh

I am VERY concerned about our QB situation - I don't think either is a decent QB but they are not "terrible"

we shall see how it plays out

We not only need a decent QB for the now - we also need someone to bridge the time it is going to take to get one ready
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I am drunk on Kool Aid. I honestly, honestly feel that Beck is a diamond in the rough and that he will lead this team to the playoffs this year. I really think and feel that. Of course, I also don't really know too much about the X's and O's of football so there is that.

Hey, man it's cool. I know that we may not agree on everything, but I want you to know that I respect your point of view. LOL. I guess we can atleast agree that we are concerned about the QB situation.
