Eight Practice Squad Players Needed

Post by 1niksder »

Shanahan prefers to think of his roster as 61 players deep. The Redskins can begin adding their eight practice squad players at noon Sunday. They’ll likely select a couple of young players they released Saturday and might also shop for a quarterback. Releasing Clemens means the Redskins have only John Beck and Rex Grossman, a decision inspired in part by a new NFL rule that no longer allows teams to designate an emergency quarterback. They’d likely need a third arm to run the scout team at practices.

Who will they be?

Nice! I'm really glad about this one, especially with Torain on the 53. What are the odds we may need Royster sometime this season?

So between the roster and the squad we retained all of our draftees. Again reinforcing my feeling that this was the best draft in a long , long time.

Chris Baker | Defensive Lineman
Team: Washington Redskins
Ht / Wt: 6'2' / 329

Dolphins waived/failed physical NT Chris Baker. It's not hard to imagine that the (usually) 330-pound Baker showed up to camp out of shape. Baker appeared for just seven snaps on defense last season. Jul 31 - 10:04 PM
