It is tough to run an offense when your QBs are rotating. Both QBs, facing relentless blitzing played well. Imagine what will happen when the QBs are allowed to get into a rhythm in a game. Considering that they were rotating, Beck and Grossman's performance is an even stronger testament of their ability to manage the offense.

To put it in perspective look at Flacco in the game. He started out poorly in the first three series, but in the next two series he found his rhythm and looked great and in the third series he found back ups and looked even better ( I had to ad that last bit). He could afford to be patient and relax and keep doing what he knows. The 2 series breaks didn't even phase Beck or Grossman, they started out poorly and didn't come back in pressing trying to make something happen. They showed the same coolness as Flaaco even though they had the extra pressure of an audition.

I voted for Beck and gave me reasons earlier, but Grossman can get the job done as well.

LOL. I don't know about Clemens, I wouldn't mind seeing Chappell though. Speaking of Chappell, does anybody know if he's gonna play in the preseason finale?

It's unheard of....but there are RBs by committee, so how about QB by commitee....?

What you Didn't see on Thursday night against the Ravens -

Redskin QBs consistently throwing the ball in the dirt.

If I'm honest, I think that Grossman will give us a slightly better chance of winning at least during the first half of this season.

But it's so slight that when I think about Beck's potential upside, and his advantages over Rex (mobility and arm strength), I have to go with Beck. Besides, I want to see if he's got what we need this year, while we are still rebuilding. Playing Beck for most of the year will clarify what needs to be done this offseason.

This sounds like the ole "better to go with what you know" thing. :) If I am honest, I share this sentiment.

I am with you 100% here. Here's another thing - I think Beck just might have the "IT" factor - poise, confidence, good decisions on when to run or pass, (decision making out distances him from Rex). He has yet to make a bonehead play.

One major weakness in Miami was his "small" hands - he had a lot of fumbles but that history makes him no worse than Rex in that department if he hasn't corrected the fumbling (We haven't seen it yet).

I also am starting to believe in John Beck. Grossman gives a good drive or two and then throws an interception. While Beck seems to make less mistakes. He looked solid against the Ravens second string. Yeah I am drinking the kool aid a bit. So what.

JB. Sexy Rexy can be on fire one minute, cold as ice the next. Not to say Beck can't and might not do the same thing, but at least we haven't seen it yet, which is more than I can say for Grossman. Either way I believe our offense is much better this year than we imagined it would be a scant three weeks ago.

Beck. If he's close to Grossman with 1 year less experience, and no real game experience, he's obviously got potential to improve far beyond where Grossman is. We need a guy who can take control of this offense and lead us for the next 3 years. We will likely be drafting a guy next year, who will sit for a year or two. I think Beck could be the perfect bridge QB.

I like both guys, but I'm still on the Beck bandwagon, last night's game be damned.

Still not sure about keeping the starter under wraps, the QB is so important, mostly because of leadership. I'd like to see a starter named so the team can get behind them, and give a face to this franchise. If pre-season can be believed we're probably going to be inconsistent this year, and I think the right move is to give the QB a long leash. We need one guy back there.

I'm on Beck's bandwagon too. WHen he makes a mistake he can chaulk it up to growing pains, when sexy makes a mistake, it's just, well, sexy rexy doing his thing. =)~

I'm no coach, but I think Shanahan is seriously over estimating the "competitive advantage" he's getting by dragging this out.

This is on the nose. What advantage is there that's better than having some cohesiveness or some consistency?

I doubt that it's that big of a deal at this point. Considering the shortened off-season, it's understandable.

Is it possible that Shanny just craves drama? Now that Mcnabb and Haynesworth is gone, it was kinda quiet around here. :)

I like what we've seen from Beck - he is better than we thought

I voted for Grossman because I think there is more to be gained by letting him have the job until he shows (confirms) that he's just a good back up QB
AND - Kyle knows what he's got out there with Grossman

Mike should let everyone know ASAP but he doesn't care about the perception OR anything
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
