Did youo get in Coach's way much, watching over his shoulder while forming your considered opinion of Beck? Warner was so bad he wasn't even allowed to play outside, until he bloomed late. Shanny and Company flush more NFL experience in talent assessment down the toilet than you will ever possess. Beck has executed so far. So far, your predictive prowess seems suspect.

Delusional?
Hardly!
What the F@CK do you think the plan IS?
9 or 10 is enough improvement justify targeting 12+ moving forward. If you don't think the coaching staff can do this, how is Andy gonna help?

Really!
How is Luck gonna succeed?
How does that work?
How does he SURVIVE?
Why would he sign with a team that had its best draft in decades and got worse?

How can you say we had best our draft in decades when none of these guys have played in a regular season game? Just because we had 12 draft picks does not mean that we had our best draft in decades. These guys need to succeed on the field in regular season games. Dude build up the o-line first. Adding Chris Chester does not count he sucks. Then add some WR weapons if Hankerson and none of the other young guys step up we will need to add a WR. Then we need to keep building the defense. I am not to spell it out step by step.
Neither John Beck or Rex Grossman are the answer at QB long term . Neither of them are even close to being a franchise QB. Do you agree with me there?

I don't agree with you on any point.
You clearly are obsessed with the lad. If I were him, is get a restraining order. You seem to think he's superman. Your building around him will require you to break your promise and root against for a couple more years to get other key components. Luck can throw those games with confidence, knowing that its for the future good.

Ok lets roll with Beck and Grossman beyond 2011 is that want you posters want? We are definitely going to draft a QB in the 2012 draft. I want Luck much more so than Barkley, Jones or any other QB. I guess other posters would rather have us win a few extra games so we end up without Luck. Stupid stupid stupid. The next 10-15 years are more important then one season. Look at the bigger picture everyone.

Why are the posters sweeping our QB issues under the rug? Have you all been brainwashed by Mike Shanahan into believing that John Beck is a franchise QB?

I will break down the NFC East. The Redskins have the Worst Starting QB, RB's, O-line, WR core and D-line in the division. We have a better secondary then Dallas but without Landry the Giants have a better secondary then us despite all the injuries they have in it. If Landry is playing we have the 2nd best Secondary in the NFC East behind only the Eagles. We have the 2nd best group of LB's behind the Cowboys, Giants are 3rd and the Eagles are 4th.
We will finish last in the NFC East in Sacks and near the bottom of the NFL again in sacks, we will struggle all year to get pressure on opposing QB's. Our secondary will be average at best and will be porous against the run. which will be the worst in the NFC East and rank around 27th in the league. Overall our defense will go from last year ranking of 31st in total yards allowed to 24th. Our lack of offense will hurt our defense we will have several three and outs and short drives each game and our defense will get tired from being constantly on the field.
It's hard to grade coaching staffs. I will say Philly has the best, followed by NYG, then the Skins with the cowpukes being in last.
All of this equates to us finishing last in the division as we will struggle to score more than 16 pts per game and our defense will only improve a little from last year. We will also finish last in the NFC East in turnover differential.

+1 DarthMonk.
RR is back on topic and he didn't mention that QBs name except in his signature which is mighty clee-ehver.

I expect the Redskins to compete as best they can in every game. I have not been hypnotized by the pundits into believing our division rivals unbeatable. We can win the East, it will take luck, with a small "l", and effort and execution. Beck may well get his chance to shine, and I will root for him. If Rex needs to be the guy, I'll root for him. He's been to a Superbowl, and he believes in his guys enough to say his say. I like what we've seen so far, and while I wouldn't guarantee squat, stranger things have happened with regularity in the NFL.

I see a QB with a 99 QB rating. I see another with a 92.3. This is evidence that NOW, in the PRESENT, a coach who has won a few games might be correct in stating that he sees something there. I know that as bad as we were last season, we easily could have won 3 or 4 more games had things gone a little differently. We have upgraded enough positions and have had a year to adjust to the system that we should win those games this year. Our offense looks synchronized, our defense disciplined. Stats from another time aren't relevant in the now. They have their use as predictors, but prediction still is guessing. How many people accurately predict the SB winner at the outset of the season? Thank god, few, or the pukes would have more rings..

Wow. You continue to advocate throwing games (that's the only way the Skins win only 2 games)... and even root for losses... yet... Just wow.
and yet trey - this guy still maintains that he's just as 'big' a fan as anyone

I understand how important a great QB is - maybe Luck is that but ...
I really have trouble understanding why any NFL franchise would not continue to try and get better each and every season - how can a franchise 'plan' to try and not build for the future and be better and at the same time hope that we lose 14 (or 15) games to make sure we get a QB that might or might not be "great"
now to the question of the 'fan' - what type of fan really wants his team to only win 2 games
that is not a "REAL" fan - NO WAY
RR56 is not a real fan, no matter how hard he claims to be - he's an imposter
as this season goes by, we may find where his true allegiance lies - it's not with the Redskins
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Just a quick breakdown of the NFC East of the top of my head.
Eagles have loads of talent on offense. They have major issues on the offensive line. The Eagles of the past with Jim Johnson had a scary defense. Now they have a mediocre defense with a good secondary. We win this game by ten points if all goes well. We sweep the series by pounding the rock against Phillys small defense. We win the time of possession and hit Philly with some big playaction bombs to our tight ends. Skins gain 150 yards plus on the ground.
Giants have a very talented defensive line. However they have injuries all over the secondary. There offense will be good with a decent Manning, good offensive line, running game and decent receivers. Giants will be a close game. I say we split the series with the Giants.
Cowgirls, have all kinds of issues in the secondary. They have a good pass rush and solid front seven. Still with a new defensive coordiantor there weaknesses will show this season.
Cgirls offense is a good one. Romo, Felix Jones, Dez Bryant, Witten and Austin are a talented bunch.
So I think our defense is better then the C girls. Our defense should keep the Cgirls to 21 points max. While I am hoping Beck and Company will take apart the C girls secondary. I think it will be tough to run against the Pukes. But we will see. Yeah I will always predict a sweep against the Pukes.
The development of Beck will tell the tale of how our season goes. Or we could just be old school and pound the rock all day with our good defense backing us up. Playaction type of team. Yeah either way I think we will win.
