I am proud of the redskins
Some ppl thought we were gonna be really bad, that could be possible but i feel like we found our diginity this season watching us take on these teams where we feel like the offense is weak, have a really good seeming defence. I wanna say this is a first time in a long time i feel like its a real team, not a team where it seems like were one dimensional. It might just my way of thinking but i feel like its a team not 100% superstars like the past with dan snyder we found a sound balance on defence, with the offense really impressing especially hightower. I loved the redskins then like now but i feel like were really seeing a developing of a team down the road. Would love to see your opinions i know its just preseason but still it feels like a team or very close to becoming one as a balanced team. thanks

First, it is only the pre-season. Second, I agree with you 100% regardless of being Just The Preseason. This team looks better than any I can remember since Gibbs I. The O-line has done a great job so far. The receiver corps was a real weak spot last year. It looks strong and confident. We now have a corps of runners in Hightower and the 2 rookies that can actually run the ball with authority. The D-line looks great, a little less now with Jenkins out for the year but still great. Strange, the one strong spot we had last year in the defensive backs is now our weak spot.
And to think that we have been tabbed a 3 - 13 team by a "expert" analyst that didn't produce one memorable play during his NFL career. It fits nicely.
Yes, this year my actually be enjoyable.

I think I am equally proud of fans right now. Nobody is going crazy right now, expectations are realistic, but everybody seems to appreciate the building process that is going on with the team right now.

^^ me too
now, don't go starting 'that' again
I know that we've felt the highs and lows before but..
somehow it just seems like the guys in charge and the players are starting to feel AND BELIEVE they can play and compete
I'm still thinking another season of establishing and playing the new offense and the 3-4
next year - it's a new QB and hopefully we can bring him into the mix and maybe even begin a run of playing in the playoffs

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I agree. We are mostly flying under the radar in the media, too, which is nice. I'm tired of the hype.

As has been said here and elsewhere, I really like the competitiveness, the passion I am seeing across the board now. Nobody's taking plays off, guys are bringing it from start to finish, and though we haven't seen as much yet, I suspect they would be playing just as hard were they down by 2 or 3 scores. The B & G have way too proud a football tradition for it to be anything else but that way. Fight on, Sons of Washington.
Oh yeah, and to second lpj....championship. Sorry 'trey, couldn't help myself.

I agree with you in the sense that winning and losing means nothing. But there are a lot of things that happen that are important to coaches. I personally find it a yawn fest though, I wait until the real kickoff starts. It's like watching practice where they keep score. Fans get way too worked up about it. The coaches are looking for certain things, but most of the starters are just getting some game simulation reps in. Most of the evaluation is of the fringe players. They also work on some schemes and fundamentals. But again, it's like keeping score in a practice.
Hail to the Redskins!

I know. Really like that there's not a lot of attention grabbing moves being made here, just real solid football moves.
Maybe it's a sign we actually have a professional front office for the first time in a long time?
