Jarvis Jenkins out for the season
Per twitter, Jenkins tore his ACL last night. Tough break.

I was really looking forward to watchting this guy be the surprise of our draft this year. He looked like he was gonna kill it.
I can't add anything to that, I agree 100%

The preseason has claimed another victim.
Redskins rookie defensive end Jarvis Jenkins will miss the season with a torn ACL, according to his Twitter account.
The team announced Jenkins had a “knee sprain” last night, but further tests revealed the complete damage.
It’s a bigger blow to the team’s defense than you’d imagine.
Jenkins, a second round pick, had been one of the big surprises of camp. He was starting last night and appeared likely to play ahead of veteran Adam Carriker in the regular season.

Yeah, it's a really bad break. By all accounts, Jarvis Jenkins is a great guy and it's tough to see an injury fall on such a promising rookie. He'll probably come through it okay but he'll miss the season for sure. IR it is.
We've still got Carriker, Bowen and Cofield up front but Jenkins figured to be a huge part of the rotation. Maybe one of the other guys will step up?

We finally find a stud on the second round and he blows out his knee before the first game.
As bummed as we are I'm sure he is that X 10!

They'd find out by playing regular season games (as would all the other teams), and at least then if they get injured, it's durng a game that means something...

I'm bummed.
Was looking forward to having excellent depth at end. Still think we are looking pretty good tho. I guess I'll look forward to his return next season like a bonus upgrade.
