QB tonight
Has anyone heard who's starting tonight? I did hear they are both going to get time with the starters and seems that could maybe upset the rythm of the offense but i'm curious who's getting that first drive. My guess is that whoever does is who they want to see succeed and start week 1.

Both will play with the starters and the starters may play 3 quarters, the rumor is Grossman will start tonight, play 2 series then Beck will play 2 and Grossman will come back in for 3 quarters we'll see this. Shanny wants to keep th Gnats guessing about who they need to prepare for

I'm not sure who is starting tonight. I did hear the same thing that you just mentioned that they are both gonna get playing time with the starters.oneman56 wrote:Has anyone heard who's starting tonight? You based your hunch off who you think will start the season...HarleyHog wrote:Heh,

Its Rex Grossman who is starting. Here is the link
Chris Russell of ESPN 980 in Washington reports the Redskins will start Rex Grossman tonight according to general manager Bruce Allen.

I am good with either one.
Beck seems quite capable so far.
Grossman is much maligned, considering he has more SB experience than half the " Franchise QBs" in the NFC east. Frankly, I think he has more talent than Eli. He just needs the team to continue executing effectively.
If effective execution becomes our standard, either QB can have success.

(BTW . . . we have RGIII now)

I guess I'm pulling for Beck, seems like he got a raw deal so far in his career, nothing to do with talent or lack thereof. Just in the wrong places at the wrong times. At least I HOPE it wasn't a talent issue. The big (stinky) tuna never even gave him a thought, much less a chance. After that he was brought into camps to compete for 3rd spots ( which he WON, BTW.
