Redskins roster cuts schedule
OKAY - I'm sorry if this is common knowledge - please refresh the timing here?
How many players do we need to get down to AND when - thanks

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

per ProFootballTalk.Com
There are two big cut down days for NFL teams this year.
One is on August 30, and then the big cut down day is September 3, when all teams need to be down to their 53 man roster.
Originally, teams were supposed to get down to 75 players on August 30. The NFL announced that number has been raised to 80, presumably to give teams more leeway because of the abbreviated offseason.
This was essentially done so that more players would be available to use and evaluate in the often-useless fourth preseason week.
The preseason wraps up for 30 teams on September 1. The Raiders and Seahawks play on September 2.

I'm with you Frank. It's unfortunate with all his talent that he can't stay healthy enough to get on the field. He seems like a good kid to. But there's a point we have to recognize he may have NFL skill he doesn't have an NFL body and give it up. I think we're there.frankcal20 wrote:I'll be shocked if Kelly isn't on that list. I really would love to have him make it but he's done nothing in a game to show he's worth a spot on the roster.
Hail to the Redskins!

Once he's cut, he'll be picked up somewhere on waivers by someone. And maybe he just needs a change in medical staff. For some reason, he just cant get on the field at all while every offseason, all we hear is that he's got the best hands on the team. Makes the greatest catches, etc. It's too bad that if you're not at practice, you have no idea b/c it's never happened in a game.
I'm PRAYING that he works out and he's our guy but my hope is dwindling every week he's inactive.

I really do like Kelly and I really do feel bad for him. I know he wants to be out there and it's killing him not to play. I do hope and pray that somehow he can get this thing turned around. Maybe your right maybe a change of scenery , new team, new medical staff may do him wonders.frankcal20 wrote:Once he's cut, he'll be picked up somewhere on waivers by someone.
