Big turnout for Pryor workout

If the Colts aren’t interested in former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor, their scouting department didn’t get the memo.

Representatives of the Colts are present at Pryor’s Pro Day workout in Pittsburgh, according to a source on the scene. Also present are representatives of the Steelers, Redskins, Saints, Bucs, Cowboys, Chargers, Browns, Lions, Eagles, Raiders, Dolphins, Bills, 49ers, and Bengals.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin personally is present, as is former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel.

The Steelers are filming the workout, which will be sent to all teams, along with the results of Pryor’s physical.

The supplemental draft will be conducted on Monday.

UPDATE: The Chiefs and Patriots are there, too. Maybe it would have been easier to list the teams that aren’t there.

If I am the Colts, after last night, I am putitng 3rd round Tender on the guy. They can't be serious about going into the season with the QBs that they have. But then again, perhaps Painter isn't so bad and we were THAT GOOD!

Terrell Pryor says that he is willing to play another position;

Mark Schwartz of ESPN, reporting from the site of the Pro Day workout in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, said the Pryor is willing to move to another position. (Pryor showed he had the speed for other positions.)

What about the 4th they got for Campbell? The pick used on Jason was Shanny's to start with.

So maybe Mike can get his QB of the future while fixing the problem of the past, to be honest he got over in the deal that allowed us to get JC... It would be like killing two birds with one stone.

This would be funny if it happens but Ilm j/k

With his statement that he's willing to play another position, he has suddenly become a very desirable player. That willingness solves many problems... Yes... use the 4th. Then a crash course in route running, some wildcat, and emergency quarterback...

Begin assessing his ability to be the quarterback of the future during the early offseason, giving enough time to make a decision about draft needs. (ie, do we still need a quarterback?)

I'm now advising Bruce & Mike to consider moving out of the 8th round and putting in a 7th round bid for this guy

My reasons are simple - This guy will NOT be a decent (or good) NFL QB and he's not a very high caliber "off the field" person either

NO, NO and HELL NO to Pryor as a Redskin

I will repeat though that depending on which franchise picks him up, I'll guarantee that the idiots in the media will then say that they knew this guy was a HOT prospect or a wasted pick - how many of them have predicted an NFL future for Pryor, good or bad?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

no seriously, i haven't seen one person address.

wtf can Tebow get time to blossom into a QB and but everyone is so darn adamant about this kid automatically becoming a WR?

Both pretty get the same review. They're terrible QB's for the NFL, yet Tebow goes in the 2nd round and this kid is projected in the late round of the supplemental? Oh, it must because this dude got some money for his jerseys and Tebow is super religious. lol

Jason Campbell is a good QB - he's just not able to lead the offense
he's just not suited for the mental aspects of the game that are required in the NFL

Jason Campbell is a very good college QB that never applied himself to become better or to adjust to the speed of the decision making that QBs need in the NFL

He needs to understand that he's not suited to lead the franchise and that he does not have the work ethic to raise his level of play to be a good starting QB in the NFL

Terrell Pryor will soon become the starting QB for the Raiders
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

I don't understand all the negativity towards Tim Tebow. Seriously, what has the guy done so wrong for people to think that he can't be a starting QB. Before I begin I will make myself very clear that all of my information is based off of NFL Total Access, Around The League, Sports Center. This guy has been absolutely screwed in this situation. Let's begin by Tebow being told that he is going to be the starting QB before the lockout started. During the lockout Tebow was being a leader by organizing player workouts, then the lockout ends and then the Orton trade doesn't go through and because of that Tebow has NEVER practiced with the first team offense. In fact he has only played with the 2nd and third team unit offense and has gone up against the first team defense in doing so. How fair is that? You are on the 2nd or third team offense going up against your starting defense? Then the guy goes out there in his first preseason game and this is what he does. He goes for 6-7, 91 yards and had a 40 yard bomb. Plus he had 2 rushes for 15 yards. And he also scored on a TD but was called back on a penalty. Yes, there was an INT he threw but it was because the guy pass interfered with the pass. Then his reward is being moved to third string QB? Are you kidding me? Look, I know the guy has somethings to work on, but this is not even a fair competition. And with time Tebow will get better The guy is a winner and a leader and can take command in the huddle. And, so what if he loves the Lord. At least, you know that you never have to worry about the off the field issues like other players in the league.

You raise good questions and a good argument and I would love to comment, but can you start a Tebow thread. This is going to take us waaaaay off topic.
