In the recent past we kind of knew what were getting from our QB play. Ramsey, Brunell, Todd Collins and DMac.
With Beck we just have to wait and see. I have to think if he beat out Grossman who knows the offense? Well he has to be a step up. Grossman isnt bad at scoring points. Grossman just has a knack of throwing picks. Now if Beck can produce like Grossman minus the picks he should be solid. Now that I have analyzed this more. I am feeling good about things. Cautious optimism.
i agree ..... also we must have a solid ground game so beck doesnt have to throw 50 times.
(Peter) King shared an intereesting anecdote regarding Kyle Shanahan and the Houston Texans from the 2007 draft. “That was the JaMarcus Russell year, with Brady Quinn, Trent Edwards, Kevin Kolb and Beck,” Kyle Shanahan told King during his ongoing, 24-team camp tour. “So they asked me who I’d pick if I had the 10th pick in the draft. I told them Beck. They said he’s not worth the 10th pick in the draft. I was standing on the table for him. I’ve never seen a guy play that well in college.”

Shanahan did a recent interview on Redskins.com. He clearly said that he never said Beck was the starter. All Shanahan said was that he believes in Beck and that he has not named a starter yet. So yeah its a good bet Grossman wins the starting job.
I guess what is surprising to me is that nobody really compares Beck's potential to Kolb - I mean he was the next QB taken right?
How come nobody is getting too excited about Beck and saying Mike & Kyle have this secret weapon at QB that they have not used yet
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
