Why?

I don't get the whole Twitter thing! If someone says anything worth reporting it will end up on pft, 106.7, 980 or here.

This is for those that want to. They'll know why they are following them... Those that don't want to follow them or have no reason to won't.

What does age have to do with anything? Not getting the twitter thing is the same as saying, I don't get why you would have any interest in hanging on any other human's talk with baited breath. As for the age thing you refer to, are you suggesting that a 40 year old doesn't "get" social media? I'm 37 and my generation is the one who cultivated the internet and led the technology wave, so if you are setting an age limit as to who understands tech, I suggest raising it to 45 minimum. By the way, check out the ages of the Presidents at Twitter (one of which is my cousin who's 37)

Why wait to here it from the media, when you can get it from the horses mouth... before they say they were mis-quoted

Well, every generation rides A wave but eventually gets off...unless you're just a techie type person. When I was younger my father had one of the first cell phones that you had to carry in something that resembled a purse, lol. He was riding A wave... Fast forward, he's a grumpy old man who hated the idea of an iPhone. "I only need my phone to do one thing and that's to make phone calls!". However, I led that man out of his ignorance and he now has an iPhone. So yeah, with age (responsibility) some people dislike tech just because well, they're old, cant understand it or can't take the time out of their old grumpy responsibility laden lives to understand it. LOL And I'm sure that when I'm "old" (whatever age that's considered to be), something will come along that I'll scoff at....you know, like, cars that drive themselves. It's just how things are, it's a cycle. No need to get all defensive old man. LOL

I made this really small so that all the old people can't see it. My post was in jest. Don't take it too seriously.

I have tried to follow an author (Brandon Sanderson) on Twitter, but it is just too hard because the post are chronological with the newest last, so they are almost impossible to follow (unless you’re one of those people that want their phone bombarded every time the person they are following posts that they just took a dump - by the way BS never posted about his BM - just an exaggerated example)

I don't officially follow anyone (or whatever it is called when you automatically get pushed those tweets about the person taking a dump or whatever other needless self obsessed info they put out) because I don't want my phone blowing up.

For whoever asked, I'm 43. I have an Android Smartphone and love it, but don't want it SPAMMED by useless information.

Not on Facebook either. If my friends want to get a hold of me they can call me at home, on my cell, email me, text me or IM me. If they don't know any of that info, they aren't that important to me!

Being alerted for tweets will kill your battery quicker than setting it on fire. And I hate following any sort of celeb. I have a handful of friends that I follow, it's pretty hilarious.

Plus, there was no ill will in regards to me asking how old u are. My pops is 60 and I told him I'm getting him on a social networking site before the year is over. It'll most likely be G+, lol.

According to Stallworth, @JGaffney10 is not really Gaffney, but he is trying to get him on twitter.
