Kinda glad we got Hightower too....
Ryan Torain left Wednesday's practice with a hand injury and is headed for X-rays.
We don't usually note little nicks from camp, but this is a good reminder on the frail nature of Torain. Even coach Mike Shanahan sounds skeptical that his starting running back can stay healthy. Torain has appeared in just 12 games since breaking into the league back in 2008.

Now the trade makes even more sense, considering Jarmon was likely not to make the team anyway...

FYI: Banks sat out of practice today too

Yep, it's about time we had a starting running back who is more than likely to last a full season without interruption. I like the Hightower trade, and Torain's latest knock is a reminder of why.

Agreed. I like Torain when he's healthy, but good lord dude. Durability is a real positive for a running back...

??? Jarmon was traded for Gaffney. HOLIDAY was traded for Hightower. I doubt if Holiday would have made our roster.

I'll be surprised if 2 rookie RB's make the roster.

I just saw that Casey Rabach failed the Raven's physical because of a shoulder surgery he had off season and is probably why Redskins let him go. Cleaning house of the wounded.

I dunno about Royster living in Big Ten country he wasn't all that impressive when I watched him but Rey Helu Jr. was a great draft pick you're right their he will be the future stud runner however I am kind of worried about his pass blocking because Nebraska didnt pass hardly at all.

I don't think I would call him fragile. I would say that due to his playing style, except to see injuries.

Washington Times is reporting Ryan Torain to see a hand specialist. This dude must be made of glass. Seriously. Remember Unbreakable?

Maybe we need to just let Torain and Kelly go. It's just endless. Don't matter how good anyone is if they are always on the sidelines.
