He's talented? That's like calling the Sistine Chapel "pretty"...Irn-Bru wrote:I have mixed feelings about this. He's talented, but does he have the drive to be anything more than a disappointment?
Okay, I'm just kidding. Shockingly Edwards hasn't had a 1,000 yard year since 2007. He's 28 and he just hasn't done anything that impressive since his amazing 2007 campaign. I'd want for us to get him because we need wideouts in the worst way, and he'd fit a role we've been missing for many years, a big, physical #1. I just wonder what the price will be, and how motivated he is.

If dropped passes is your main argument not to sign Braylon then where were you when they re-signed Moss:1niksder wrote:12 drops in 3 years isn't bad.... four each year, just seems to come in bunches.Countertrey wrote:50-50 2.0

Braylon Edwards - WR - Jets
Mike Jurecki of XTRA Phoenix reports that the Cardinals are "working on a deal" with free agent Braylon Edwards.
Jurecki cautions that "it could fall through," but expect the Cards to be considered among this year's biggest free agency winners if they close this deal. The addition of Edwards would give Arizona perhaps the most dangerous one-two punch of receivers in the NFC, along with Larry Fitzgerald. It makes sense for the Cards to jump into the Edwards bidding with his market moving slowly.

1. Moss is the only truly competent WR on this teamspudstr04 wrote:If dropped passes is your main argument not to sign Braylon then where were you when they re-signed Moss:1niksder wrote:12 drops in 3 years isn't bad.... four each year, just seems to come in bunches.Countertrey wrote:50-50 2.0

2. Wouldn't have disturbed me a bit to see him go.
What's your point?

They picked between him and Santonio Holmes. They think Holmes fits what they need better, and they can't get both. I don't think it tells us that much at all about what they think of him as a player.fleetus wrote:The Jets are making a push for the Super Bowl and they have no interest in keeping him. Which only enforces my argument. A lot of teams go with a big, physical WR and team him with a smaller, quicker one (the Skins did this with Monk and Clark),
The Jets liked what Holmes did in their offense and thought he was a good fit, so that locked up the smaller, quicker guy they wanted. Not having enough budget to get Holmes AND Edwards they went and got a player who many believe is the best big bodied WR available instead.

According to FOX 2 in Detroit, two people in Edwards’ entourage were arrested after allegedly assaulting employees at a Birmingham bar.
PFTEdwards reportedly posted the following on Twitter at about the same time: “Damn. Get ya knuckles ready” and “Don’t fight if. You don’t know how.”
What a joke. I hope we don't get this bum. Just can't stay away from trouble.

That will kill any chance he had of coming to Washington and many other places, His value will drop so far ttiT will be able to afford himandyjens89 wrote:According to FOX 2 in Detroit, two people in Edwards’ entourage were arrested after allegedly assaulting employees at a Birmingham bar.PFTEdwards reportedly posted the following on Twitter at about the same time: “Damn. My vote is to keep these young guys. At least play the heck out of them in preseason. We gotta move the ball in the preseason and get down the field to truly test these guys out. I'd love to see Hankerson, Kelly, and Niles down in that goal line. Add/subtract one of them, put in Cooley or Davis.
Lovely.
Lovely.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!
