The NFL has released a document that outlines the calendar for the next few days, including dates for free agency and training camp.
Per the document, teams will be able to open their facilities to players for voluntary training, conditioning and classroom instruction starting Tuesday, July 26. That is the date all teams will be able to begin trading players, signing the rookies they selected in April, signing undrafted rookies, and negotiating (but not signing) with their own free agents. They also can negotiate with but not sign or give offer sheets to unrestricted free agents, restricted free agents and franchise players from other clubs.
At 4:01 p.m. ET on July 28, teams will be able to waive players under contract.
The next day, July 29, beginning at 6 p.m. ET, player contracts will be able to be renegotiated. Teams will be able to sign their own unrestricted free agents, restricted free agents, exclusive-rights free agents and franchise free agents. Also, teams will be able to sign or extend offer sheets to free agents, including unrestricted free agents from other teams.
Friday is also the date training camps will open. The NFL has expanded rosters so that teams will be able to bring 90 players to camp.
The document states that the 2011 League Year will start no later than Aug. 4.

I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS
I know this sounds corny but this is "the beginning of the rest of our lives"
we are about to witness a very important 6 months for this franchise - we are either in for a very productive new era under Mike and Kyle, or ... I hate to think what might happen if this FO and these coaches don't look like they are obviously 'leading' this franchise in the right direction
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Scratch that: it appears as if teams can *talk* to undrafted free agents tonight. Not sign them.
