With that said, great GMs know how to draft in rounds 3-7, so lets see what he can do.......then again anyone is better than dumb and dumber.

OR, even better GM's can find starters who are undrafted or are on the practice squad at the beginning of the year...

Don't forget Banks as return man.

I think you guys are close but it's not relevant AT ALL what this FO did elsewhere - they were not operating together

Allen & Shanahan are now the FO for the Redskins - IMO they have not done great in the past year - definetly better than dumb & dumber but just a good rating IMO

 WOW - then came the 2011 DRAFT

Like Redskin in Canada pointed out, the true evaluation of this draft will not be known for a while, but, I REALLY LIKE what they have done so far IN THIS DRAFT
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

not that that's a bad thing :D

I can just imagine how badly this Redskins draft trading is affecting those so called fans who do not think there is anything good to be gained by adding younger, hungrier players to the mix for training camp

It's amazing how much mileage Allen got from that trade from 10-16... virtually every additional pick came from that one trade. Just, wow.

They need a QB still, I want to get Greg McElroy. Also, they need interior linemen. Let's go Skins!!!

this could be a great draft for this franchise :D

Apparently we don't need another quality OL. Nothing for the OL in the first three picks. Same old story, except now we don't need a QB either. Question: How does Shany suppose he's going to score? He's chosen to spend picks to make the 3-4 possible as opposed to leaving the 4-3 alone and shoring up the offense. He's a loser. He'll soon be gone.

At some point in time there will be free agency, so some of the areas, Shanny didn't target in the draft may be targeted in FA.

If we'd have picked up OL's early you could have come on and said oh, Shannahan doesn't think we need to stop the run, we had the 31 D in the NFL last year. We had so many holes this analysis is worth squat, you could have said it about anything we didn't address.

What we did, crazyhorse, was go where the depth in the draft was, and it was in the front 7. Depth in the draft...a glaring need that we have...any bells ringing?

agreed KSF. crazy....you cant be serious??? Also all remember we still will have a chance in "free agency" to fill holes. It is IMPOSSIBLE to fill all our holes in this draft.

As bad as our O was, at least last year we drafted our new anchor and the O line was better then our D which just couldn't stop anyone. Clearly we had to have a couple guys who actually fit the 3-4. Our DL was worse then our OL and our OL started to gel at least a bit, though clearly we need more personnel there.

I am with crazyhorse though in that of all the players who were discussed we had a shot at at #10, the first one on my list was Tyron Smith. But when Dallas turned him into a cowgirl, there really was no one for us for the OL. Drafting a LT who wants to be a LT to play RT is stupid, they'll never be happy. And there were no interior linemen worth that high a pick. Pass on Kerrigan who is perfect for our D for a forced fit? I can't see it.

Allen has proven himself to be a first class draft day dealmaker. Time will tell whether he is also a good talent scout.

I love that the Redskins drafted more players and resisted the temptation to waste a top pick on a QB. I also like that we picked RBs and WRs in the lower rounds. Hopefully we get at least 4 starters from this group.

Pouncey went 15. We could have reached there. Center is out largest need on the Oline. I think the rest that we ended with last year are serviceable and will get better as a unit as time goes on.
