Frank you're not gonna like this but I want Sturdivant with one of our 5th rounders.

Arn't we a little stacked at the position? If we pick any UNC Player, it would be Burney only b/c we played at the same High School & I know his older brother very well. Played fball together back in the day.

Still a lot of solid guys left, just not sure what the heck will happen next for the Skins. Tracking this from the corners of Central Asia right now where the Internet really sucks. Sometimes it pains me to be a fan. Any commentary from the peanut gallery, i.e., expert TV sports analysts, is appreciated for entertainment value.

I love Powe. All he needs is a little motivation and he will be a very successful NT.

Not really. Rocky might not be back. Fletcher is getting old. Blades is a backup and Riley has done nothing yet.

Did you hear Doc Walker talking about him Friday afternoon on the John Thompson show. Doc thinks he's the real deal.

Not a great review IMO
Gomes has the physicality and mentality to be a reserve defensive back who lines up near the box in nickel and dime packages while also providing special teams coverage value. Comfortable playing in zone down near the line, breaks well on the ball and is quick and aggressive in run support. Not capable of roaming the deep half or shadowing receivers, tight ends or backs in man coverage at the next level. Not comfortable tackling out in space. Durable and has the build to hold up in the NFL. Gomes has some limitations, but still warrant a late round selection or free agent consideration.

Can anyone explain this pick?

Wasted pick, he'd probably have gone undrafted. I think the Redskins are outsmarting themselves by looking for these under appreciated players.

He has the frame and special teams capability. Not upset by the pick but don't quite get it.

Too many other holes to fill to be picking a ST guys this early. Much better value available. Don't like this pick at all.

A Nebraska RB is one thing, a Safety though? Ugh... Lots of better picks than this one. I am left scratching my head now.
