From that point of view you're right to a certain extent. Of course you folks who have complete loyalty to this team no matter what they do remind me largely of the US Cavalry Soldiers under one General George Armstrong Custer; and I get the feeling this team's leadership might not even have the tactical abilities of that infamous American military commander.

No one is. I am loyal to telling people how good this dude was in colllege and how he fits our team perfectly. I have personally WATCHED him play in college and know this dude is legit. His talent, personality, work ethic etc. is exceptional. I question if you even know this guy except what experts have said, which curiously has been mostly positive. Maybe you have watched his career as well. How many plays have you seen other than highlight film, which actually should be all good plays. In fact, what are you basing any of this on? That he played DE in college? Do you even realize that MOST 3-4 OLB's played DE in college?
Miss you 21

More importantly...

Orakpo + Kerrigan = KER-RAK-PO!!!

or

Orakpo + Kerrigan = KER-AK-IGAN!!!

Or Shanahan + Kerrigan = Shananigans

No, I can't say that I've ever seen him play. I don't watch college football. My opinion is based on where I have seen him ranked by a number of different scouting organizations and the highlight films I've seen of him.

I am well aware that most 3-4 OLB's played DE in college. I'm also aware that many of them can't cover a RB or TE to save their lives. So unless they're blitzing or it's a running play, they are a liability.

Hyperbole is such a powerful argument and adds so much to the discussion.

I've seen him play lots of times and I'm as glad we have him as I am that Michigan doesn't need to play him again. He's a great addition to the team. Even if he doesn't meet your lofty standard of dominating every opponent, which according to you since you can't do you don't compete at all.

He was the top DE/OLB on NE's board and they started a 17 so you can say the Skins reached. They took the tenth pick and did what we all knew they had to do.... They drafted a player that will be starting on 9/11/11. In addition they picked up another second round (top 50) pick.

No QB in this draft was going to be a day one starter, and very few people even thought the Skins would get a second rounder by trading down (most were just hoping for a third rounder) from #10.

I wouldn't be too upset if they went DL at #41 and OL at #49, then again I'd be more than happy with Stephen Paea, and their QB of choice. But they really do need to trade down with one of those picks.

Haslett couldn't tkae off the training wheels last year because we didn't have enough of the personnel, and we were learning the new Defense. Finish patching up the spots we need, an I am sure it will be a great product. I had a friend who owned a restaurant once. His slogan was, "We ain't fast food. Good food takes time." I think you can apply the same here. It will take a little bit of time for the finished product to be exceptional. Kerrigan is going to be a major ingredient to making that happen.

Agreed! Haslett was blitzing like crazy when the season started. He confused the mess out of Romo, but he had to back off the blitzing because of our personnel.

I have a feeling that Haslett is going to send them from one side every play. You don't know which side and you will never know. But at some point, you're best guys are gonna get punched in the face on every play.
