Shanahan said he saw enough at the NFL combine to be convinced that Kerrigan can make the switch.

Basing picks on the Combine...brilliant

The consensus is that his knee will only hold up for a few years. Is missing cartilage in his knee which does not grow back. Very sad for such a GREAT college player who will make plays but will be short lived most likely.

Kapernick ran the pistol offense in college and Mallett ran a pro-style.

Please. I will admit I have not watched ANY Nevada games. But I have watched MANY Razorback games. Mallet is the nest QB in this draft. I was hoping against hope that our McNabb loving coach would agree, but I held out little hope until I saw him pass on Gabbert tonight. Beautiful. His balls are a bit bigger than mine however as I would have already jumped back in for him before the rush tomorrow.

I watched Ryan Mallett the last two years and grew to love him as he shredded Arkansas records, threw for 300 yards on bad days, made 50+ yard bombs for touchdowns seem routine, and quarterback a massive program turnaround here at Arkansas.

He'll make everyone in this draft regret passing on him. I hope we don't end up being a team that questions how we missed out on a potentially great quarterback.

Finally, a Razorback?! I've been wondering why I'm the only guy who has seen this guy dominate the SEC every weekend. He's not going to make it through all those teams at the top of the 2nd is he? Buffalo, Cincy, Zona, San Fran. Maybe one of them goes Dalton first. Still can't believe he fell this far though so what do I know.

Remember when the FO of the Lions used to be run by Matt Millen? NO MORE !!!
Yeah, well Washington's draft room seems to be suffering from the same level of ineptitude.

We had ONE reasonable shot to get an IMMEDIATE IMPACT PLAYER and we flush it down the toilet on a guy who we're going to ask to play a position he isn't suited for (OLB) and who isn't even among the top five prospects at his natural position, nevermind the one we're going to play him at.

What, did we just throw darts at the wall? What a friggin JOKE. Just like everything else Bruce Allen and Shanny have touched in the last 16 months.
Wow!! Charlie Sheen is a Redskins Fan. How ya doin Charlie?? Lol. J/K. I fully agree with most of what you said. Fanatic, it is one thing to not like the guy, but to wish him to die or suffer serious injury is just pathetic and sick. You take things too seriously. This is football, not life.

He may just be drunk and someone ran over his cat today. He could've also been put on restriction by his parents - and he's 34 years old. Rough day all around.

I don't know. It's officially ridiculous. I can't believe it. It's like everyone in this freaking draft ganged up on him for some reason and some small questions became group think. Even some reporters called it a smear campaign on Mallett.

Ryan Mallett became the anti-Christ while Cam Newton with a history stealing laptops, cheating scandals, and NCAA investigations became the second coming of Jesus Christ.

It was bad enough sitting during the SEC season as Auburn got away with all that crap. It was completely horrifying as all the Ohio State players got away with significant violations and were allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl. It reached nightmarish levels as more and more stuff came out about the Ohio State scandals. Now our guy, our quarterback, one of the most decorated football players has the entirety of the NFL crap on him? What the hell did we do to deserve this!?

Comeon Washington. Take advantage. Go get a quarterback who in a couple years you can put against Alex Ovechkin, Stephen Strasburg, Bryce Harper, John Wall, etc as far as star power. Get a guy who can drag this crappy franchise out of the gutter back to where we should be. Back to where we once were.

Wow, that was therapeutic. Unload it my brotha! Lol
Our coach has seen the tape. The tape doesn't lie. If we miss out on Mallett I will be sick. If we pull him late, MS will look like a genius in a few years. Hard to understand how Newton can get busted stealing someone else's test and turning it in as his own, not to mention everything else he did while Mallet is so vilified. Turns out life isnt fair. Mallett is learning that lesson I guess. For the record, Ohio st can suck my balls. Your post deserves a standing ovation.

Life is serious business. Nobody ever gets out of it alive. Any time they keep score or keep records it's serious business too. I expect a return on the investment of my time, energy, money, etc... into those things I follow. The Redskins have not been provding much return in recent years.

What I think is Pathetic and Sick is a Front Office that takes a guy who is ranked #7 at his position and anywhere from #40-50 overall at #16 in the First Round.

I don't drink and my cat lives an indoor-only lifestyle.

BTW - I'm 36 and haven't lived with my parents in years. Yes, it was a rough day; make considerably worse by a Redskins Draft Room that seems to have its head firmly lodged between its butt cheeks.

Here are the current remaining picks for the Redskins in the draft:

Round 1, Pick 16 (16) (From Jaguars) Ryan Kerrigan DE 6'4" 267 Purdue
Pick Analysis: The Redskins finally get a pass rusher to pair opposite Pro Bowl selection Brian Orakpo. Kerrigan was one of the most disruptive pass rushers in college football throughout his career, and he adds another explosive edge player to their line. He could help the Redskins' defense regain its opportunistic ways in the immediate future.
Round 2, Pick 9 (41) --
Round 2, Pick 17 (49) (From Jaguars)
Round 5, Pick 13 (144) --
Round 5, Pick 24 (155) (From New Orleans)
Round 6, Pick 12 (177) --
Round 7, Pick 10 (213) --
Round 7, Pick 21 (224) (From Indianapolis)
Round 7, Pick 50 (253) (Compensatory Selection)

LPJ I think we have second round picks 41 and 49, no 3rd or 4th rounders, and a 5th, 6th and 7th, I could be wrong though.

This thread is pretty entertaining to read but I can understand not wanting to skim through it all. The majority of posts are something like this: "I don't like the pick...wahhhhhhhhh...boo-hoo we suck...wahhhhhhh...I hope this guy dies...wahhhhhhhhh"
