Raheem Morris for Coach of the Year? Who is Your COY?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Raheem Morris for Coach of the Year? Who is Your COY?

Post by Red_One43 »

Below is a link supporting Morris for COY. The main argument is Morris turned a 13-3 team that was left for dead into a 10-6 team full of young talent ready to become annual winners.

Who is your choice for COY?

Besides Raheem Morris, I like Mike Tomlin because who would have thought with Ben suspended for 4 games, the Steelers would win the division.

I would have to go with Bill Belichick for 2010 COY:

Last year, he went 10-6. This year 14-2. He had to deal with adversity. Randy Moss spouting off the mouth. He did what a lot of coaches wouldn't dare to do - release Randy Moss. Childress dared to and look where it got him. fter Moss was released the, Pats seemed sluggish and folks though they would fold - not only did they not fold, they got better. Belichick also took a NYJ reject, Woodhead and turned him into a important part of the Pats offense. Who says that only coaches who turn losing programs into winners should get to be COY. Take a look at each of the Pats positions, they have very few top 5 guys in their positions that play for them. Folks love to hate Belichick, but Belichick has his team competing year after year and this year, they are having a phenominal year with so little. Bill Belichick is my 2010 COY pick.

The Pats didn't release Moss, they traded him. The Vikings gave up a 3rd rounder, and then Childress released him. That's what got him fired. That, and having a crappy record with a good team.

Thanks for the correction. That makes my case even stronger. Belicheck gets a 3rd rounder and has the possiblity of resigning the guy after the Titans release him.

Tom Cable. He went undefeated in his division with Al Davis as an owner. He deserves COY and sainthood.

Definitely didn't deserve to be fired, but it is AL. What can we expect!

I agree, Raheem.. the biggest turnaround..

don't gimme dat Tom Cable crap, what the hell did he do? He didn't know who he was going to start at the QB position!!!

tomlin.. really? what the hell did tomlin do to get your vote? he is STILL playing with cower's team (not knocking tomlin, just saying)

you called bellicheck, big deal dude.. he is a great coach with a great system and still has brady.

compare cable/tomlin/bellicheck to Raheem and you'll see Raheem actually turned his program 100% around.

Ah, c'mon LPJ, you can't even give me a little credit for knowing the hearts and minds of the voters? :) You are right about a great system, Belichick still won 11 games in 2008 without Brady.
