I'll be 37 in July. It's a slightly different philosophy than what you're suggesting. It's much more like the Samauri who would rather take his own life rather than dishonor himself or violate his code of honor.

.....If you can win with veterans, great, but the core of your team should be young players that are improving, not old players on the decline.
Actually the team should mostly be players in the middle. PROVEN VETERANS who are acquired either via trade or free agency near their prime. The problem is that a roster cannot be built that way in this day and age because of the Salary Cap. I have no faith or interest in rookies. Never have and never will.

If they need to add in a few aging player; fine! But I'm done with them building OLD teams that only have a chance to make a SB run for one or two years!
I would rather win ONE Super Bowl the RIGHT WAY than to win A DOZEN of them the WRONG WAY.

I want no part of it!
Not AARP players. Proven Veterans in or around their prime. Generally guys at the end of their first or second NFL contract. Paid for what they have proven they can do. Emotion and Chemistry are seriously overrated.
As much as you want no part of veterans, I want no part of rookies.
