Okay you Skins and Cowboys fans out there. We keep seeing posts by Cowboys fans espousing how great they're gonna be this year...and how they are going to continue to rip up on the Skins.
Now, let's put it to a vote....do you think last year's Cowboy record was a fluke or are they really an up-and-coming team?
How are they gonna finish this year?
Not to sway you either way...but I voted "8-8". I think last year was a fluke and that they don't have the overall team talent to get past 8-8. They may have a quality "D" and a very good coach, but it takes more than that for a football team to consistently win year in an year out.

That team in Texas caught a lot of teams by surprise last year... that wont happen this year. Teams will take them seriously this year, which means some of those close games wont go down as a win this time around
They picked up keyshawn in the off season but lost speed at reciever, doesnt have a proven running back (and unless they get someone in soon it will be pointless) Q has kept his head above water but now he'll be looking over his shoulder (thats not a good way to be play) Wiley was a good addition to a already top 5 D but they'll spend a lot more time on the field this year and that will take a toll on the unit as a whole I picked 7-9 but thats because I didn't want to come off as a hater but they'll be sub .500 and I do hate them
Wow on topic and no flaming.....I guest it can be done even if I don't like that team in Texas

I voted 8-8, but going over their schedule just now I wound up with 7-9. I was split on a couple of games, including the second Skins game.
They've got talent everywhere you need it, except QB. I honestly don't like Quincy & the gang at QB for them. I guess that means I like the idea of those guys playing QB for them, but as far as their win/loss record goes I think this is where they'll be held back. You couldn't really ask for a better trio of receivers, but I wouldn't count on them to save Quincy from himself. The guy had a good season last year, but thew a lot of picks.
I'd like to think Julius Jones will wear down as the season goes on with overuse, but I really don't think it will happen. He'll probably get a good chunk of work if the passing game isn't working the way it should, but over than two games in November I don't think he's going to take a beating.

Julius Jones will have a heavy load if this happens
Cowboys | Jones to Return Kicks? - from www.KFFL.com
Sun, 4 Jul 2004 09:54:40 -0700
Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys might consider using rookie RB Julius Jones (Notre Dame) as a kickoff returner, a facet of Jones' game that allowed him to become Notre Dame's all-time leading kickoff returner with 2,104 yards, surpassing the previous record held by WR Tim Brown (Raiders). "I don't really know how that's going to work out or if they'll even put me back there," Jones said. "I've done it and I'll do it if they ask me to. Right now, I'm just trying to learn as much as offense as I can."

They had a great season last year with the talent they had. I don't see where they got any better. 17 TD and 21 Int won't get it done this year for Quincy. The rest of the NFC East had improved, will be a much tougher road for Dallas. Their D will keep them in games, but unlike last year they will lose more of the close games then they win...8-8
