Hey... on the bright side, Gints sit next week AND the "win" today probably guarantees they get Coughlin back next year, too!

Ladies and Gentlemen, YOUR 2010 Washington Redskins 6-10 and a general mess at every position. I sure hope we can upgrade on Grossman before next season.

So does anybody know what draft pick the Skins get for a 6-10 season?

Concur... that must be the top item on Shanahan's list.

Beyond that, how about an OC that knows something about calling run plays?

Antonio Bryant looked very good today... solid... pretty much always moving forward when engaged. Good awareness, good recognition... read and disrupted a few plays.

Kevin Barnes made a STRONG case for himself filling in as FS... nice job.

It's clear that Grossman has a pretty good grasp of the offense... He wasn't helped by the O line's inability to keep his throwing lanes clear... that, I think, was what cost us the game tonight.

Keiland Williams has really done his homework as a blocker.

Defense really stepped up, in general... really hung with the Giants, repeatedly gave the Offense opportunities.

I don't remember ever thinking that Rex played good. I remember thinking more about Rex "what the hell was that."

I think this is an unfair assessment, he got 336 yards with 2 tds and one (BRUTAL) Int, The Sack fumble was Trent being played. He had a really nice deep throw to armstrong for a TD. This was his third game and before this season he hadn't started since 2008. All on top of having the Giants D clobbering him.

Give the dude a break!

Grossman played typical Grossman today. Some good, some bad. Don't ever think he got the Bears to the Super Bowl though. It was their defense that got them there. Grossman was just along for the ride.

I just can't believe that anyone would say that he did anything good given that he wore cement shoes, turned the ball over a TON the past 3 weeks (8 to's I believe compared to McNabb's 16 for 14 weeks) doesn't spell success IMO.

One of very few deep balls that the receiver wasn't Led OB or had to stop on the route get tackled... Sexy hit AA in stride..... TD!

Actually AA adjusted to the ball, slowed down for the catch. Not much but Jason Campbell would've been crucified for that throw....wait for it....wait for it....here it comes.

Well, he did put the ball in the endzone. 7 td's in 3 games. That's half as many as McNabb had in 10 less games. Even the announcers said that Rex has a much better grasp of the offense. Neither qb played great this year but Rex clearly ran the offense more effectively than McNabb did.

Only problem is he fumbles or throws an INT every other series.

Well, both qb's turned it over a lot and only one showed an ability to put the ball in the end zone. Neither is the longterm answer but I liked Rex a lot more than I liked McNabb this year.

If I was betting I would say that Shanahan drafts Locker.

Seems crystal clear no one on the roster is the QB of the future. Grossman is not a starter, not even as a means to an end. McNabb may not know the system but the system is all Grossman knows, to the point where he doesn't know how to adjust. I don't see one being any better than the other.

I understand that Mara wanted to extend Coughlin regardless - the expression "we are not going to run a coaching circus here like they do in Washington" was used

I am so glad that we are on the way up and that franchise will be here to see it - bunch of wussies - they should have killed Grossman today behind that stupid offensive line -

I'm looking forward to playing that bunch next year - I hope that Jacobs makes the team because he's just a bad sport also
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Grossman is not the starting QB here - he was used the last 3 games to see what sort of back-up he might be

First of all Canes - the announcers know less about what is happening here than Crazyhorse

Grossman is NOT the starting QB here - he was being looked at to see if we might want to keep him as back-up ONLY IMO

McNabb might not be here but he gives this franchise a better chance than Grossman, that's for sure

the most important acquisition has to be at the QB position - both to decide who will start and hopefully we can draft a future great QB

we have many issues but I'm sure we'll have a kicker pretty high on that wish list as well

The only bright light in this game for me is:

BRYANT, DT

I really liked the way he handled a pretty good Giants OL. Very solid against the run.

GROSS man? p-l-e-a-s-e
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

It was nice to see a Redskins receiver get hit in stride on a deep route. Just once before the season ended.

I think Grossman was an improvement over McNabb but he is clearly no better than a #2 for next year. I don't know where we're going to get a QB from, but however we do it we will have to address this offensive line. Two more solid starters on the OL, a little more talent at WR, and a decent quarterback makes this offense very competitive IMHO.

I thought the defense showed a lot of heart in this game. I'm glad we got a good, hard look at some of these youngsters as a kind of pre-tryout for next year.

Ugh . . . another 9 months of waiting before another meaningful Redskins game. (Assuming there's no lockout.) I can only hope for a relatively quiet, foundation-building offseason.
