I say if you have negative things to say about the Redskins it shows you're a realist, you care enough about your team that you're sick of the losing and you want them to get better, and you can see. The endless candy-coating is pointless....
Speaking in absolutes and generalities doesn't make your point more valid. Consistently making negative statements about the Redskins simply means that you consistently make negative statements about the Redskins. How that makes you a realist can only be devined in your mind...
If that's your vision of how to follow a bottom tier team as a fan, well, knock yourself out, bro. But, don't be surprised when more optimistic fans, whom also consider themselves realists, take shots at your absolutes. Candy coating? Whatever. As long as we are losing, given the choice of a little candy, versus perpetual bitter... I'll take the former. I take it that you like bitter... hey, your loss, not mine.
You've seen my posts over the past few weeks... I'm not happy with the way the Shanahans have handled the McNabb affair... I wasn't happy that they appeared to be tossing any shot at beating the Pukes... well... I was wrong on the latter... that's not a bad thing, is it? I'm thrilled with the performance of some of the players that they are looking at... and (OBTW) winning with. Candy coating? Maybe... but can you honestly tell me that you don't feel a little better about the possibility of losing MacIntosh next year after watching Riley play?
I hate losing, too... but, that doesn't prevent me from finding silver in the clouds. As long as there are Ryan Torrains and Rob Jacksons, I'll take the nuggets that come along. I don't have to like Mike Shanahan, the man, in order to enjoy the progress he is making... it's there.
I'm sorry that you can't find a way to share it.
