Hognostications Week 17

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....

~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.

Dangit! 10-6 for me last week is too little too late.

Playing to win. Needing the perfecto this week, and some help from others. (looking at KSF)

*** I had to edit my picks so I didn't pick a lot of the same teams as KazooSkinsFan!!! I have to make up 4 games to try to tie!!! I decided to choose 5 games different than the big Kazoo to try to take the lead here. Question is - am I right about these five games???*** I'll probably just get knocked out of 2nd place....by a ton. Oh well. It was fun any way this year, HOSS!!!! I pointed out the 5 games I picked differently

And Justice, if it comes down to our game costing me the title, you can have it because winning this contest is obviously a lot more important to you then me based on what you're willing to sacrifice to get it. If hognostitraiting works to win, you win. I'd sure hate our honorable contest to be won that way, but I won't hognostitrait to try to stop you. I'll pick losing honorably over winning without honor any day of the week...

not sure I understand how you can "lose" to Justice Hog?

the points difference is 4 - you've only picked 2 games differently

and I'm VERY sure you are aware of that

Congratulations on a great year - we have another Hognosticating Champion that NEVER picked against the Washington Redskins - well done
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Thank you sir! I actually didn't know we'd only picked two differently. I was far too lazy to check that. But I do appreciate your looking it up. The last weekend can be a wild and willy affair. Who plays their starters? Who doesn't? But I'm with you logically if we have two different it's impossible. RiC and Trey are the others closest, but I know they are both honorable and pick their team every week so if they do pass me I have no issue with that.

One game won't mean a thing. I love the Redskins but this is "hognostications" where we're actually supposed to pick the team we think may win. I've blindly picked the Redskins long enough. This is crunch time..... There is no "sacrifice" here. Just because I picked the Giants in this thing doesn't mean I'm going to put on a Manning jersey and cheer for the Giants on Sunday. This is a game....nothing more....nothing less. Try not to take it so seriously what teams other people may or may not pick. Sorry, but to claim my picks "lack honor" is laughable.

You have hogs in your user name and go onto the hogs site and pick against Skins fans who won't pick against the Skins and use that against us in a contest with nothing but pride at stake and say this justifies picking against us? These are just empty, meaningless sequences of words with no meaning to me

A Hognostitraitor is just a label but it's not a label that's ever won a "title" here :D

Kaz has done very well with his picks this year and kept any and all 'traitors' from being a threat here - WELL DONE

Well, I think I actually picked against the Skins twice this year.......twice. If that makes me a traitor.....oh well. As a season ticket-holding Skins fan, I'm quite comfortable that I am no traitor.

This is just a game.

Seriously....

Notwithstanding...you guys guilted me enough. I changed my pick.

Happy?

I'm in a money pool at work (30 people, 5 bucks each). We pick the winner only. I've picked against the 'Skins 8 times this year. I was wrong half those times. One of those times it cost me $150. I have cheered for US every game. I went oh-for-13 but have won the last 3 weeks in a row. I had the Cowboys 2 weeks ago and US over the Jags. I have US this week against the Giants. I bought tickets to the game this weekend off craislist.

You are no traitor and neither am I. I pick the team I think will win and I cheer for US everytime. If I could lose 5 bucks every week and watch US win I'd die a happy fan.

Go 'Skins!

Nobody remembers second place in any of these Hognostication tournaments. Soooooooo ...

I need FOUR upsets over the conservative picks called by Kaz to go for a tie

I suspect he will get at least four wrong. The question is: Which ones?

Let's givie it a try with a tie one for the gipper:

Pittsburgh
Minnesota
Kansas City
New England
New Orleans
Buffalo
Baltimore
Houston
Washington
Philadelphia
San Francisco
Green Bay
Indianapolis
San Diego
Seattle
Tie-breaker = 38

I do need each and every one of those four upsets to tie. If I do not get them all, Kaz is champ for 2010.

Enjoy guys, I know I have. Thanks Hoss.

I like how people are going for it rather then playing for second. As RiC said, who remembers second? It's kind of fun too that this all ends in eleven hours rather then 5 days like the last month and a half.

Whatever happens, good season, gentlemen. It's been fun. And thanks Hoss for all the work to make it possible.
