So far, I like Bruce Allen, and see no reason not to be on his bandwagon ... but I have a list of reasons, a country mile long, as to why I think Shanahan is a total, unmitigated disaster .... exceeding Zorn at this stage, because Zorn at least had the excuse of being totally green.

And, right now, ALL Redskin fans should be DISGUSTED, no, INFURIATED (just like the players are) by this lame excuse for a coach who places rehabilitating his Son's image over the interests of the team.

You'll not find ONE SINGLE SOUL who believes Rex Grossman gives the the Redskins the best chance to beat the Cowboys, except that beady eyed, proven liar who claims to be looking out for the best interests of the organization. He says he needs to see what he has with the other QBs. Memo to Mike .... that nonsense is what camp and preseason is for .... not Dallas Week ... we don't play that crap here in Redskin land ... this is the Washington Redskins versus the Dallas Cowboys ... not YOUR SON against Donovan McNabb.

And over the entire length of my life ... no matter how bad things have gotten ... I always pull for the Redskins ..... and when it comes to the Cowturds ... I've always said that my two favorite teams are the Redskins, and whoever is playing Dallas.

Every now and then over the years, a situation develops that a Cowboys win will be good for the Redskins ... like them beating the Giants which gives the Redskins a leg up in the division ... even then, it is hard, but I will temporarily pull for the pukes, no matter how distasteful. Sometimes you have to make an exception and accept that the enemy of thy enemy must be your friend, for the greater good.

Tomorrow, I will be doing something inconceivable to me ... something I have never done .... and that is to hope the Cowboys obliterate the Redskins and Rex Grossman .... not because I have any ill will toward Rex, nor because I find any Redskin loss desirable, ESPECIALLY to the Cowboys .... but because in this one UNIQUE and never seen before situation ... anything that might contribute to the possibility of seeing Kyle and Mike Shanahan on a bus out of town ... I'm willing to grit my teeth and bare for one afternoon, no matter how it pains me to do it.

This organization needs a new face .... and Mike Shanahan's beady little eyes isn't the one. We've got Snyder here to sue unemployed fans for their ticket payments ... we don't need Mike Shananigan and his equally untrustworthy Son as the ambassadors for our team, or the hope for our future.

I'd rather have the Bingo Caller as HC and Zorn his OC, than another minute watching these two ego maniacs place their personal interests over the team.

I doubt it's the first time. That you think there is any reason to ever root for the Cowboys ever under any circumstance is a great demonstration of the reasons for my skepticism. Oh, that and that you hate the Redskins and relish telling us. I do like how you make the statement sound like you think it would be a surprise to anyone

I don't care what you think ... hasn't that gotten through yet? You're a fence sitter .... you play both sides of most every argument ... and your direct personal insults should have had you taking vacations long ago ... if rules were applied fairly.

That they aren't just is what it is. But it doesn't change the fact that nobody really cares what you think ... and that's especially true in my case.

The only "personal attack" Ray is I say you're not a Redskin fan, you hate them. You seriously think that people should be suspended for that? That's your argument? I doubt you are a fan when the evidence against your being their fan is everything you say about the team and when the argument you are a fan is you say you are. But seriously, that's your argument? Well, let's examine the facts on this one.

Ray needs to tell me over and over he doesn't care what I think. I don't comment on whether I care or not what he thinks.

Ray needs to pull in the masses to support his position. Everyone is on his side, everyone agrees with him. Ray doesn't need that to be stated by them, he goes ahead and declares their alliance with his views for them.

So Ray, let me ask you when we examine the facts. Who cares what people "think?" You be the judge.

My view on those by the way is first, I don't comment on what others think, I let others speak for themselves. My opinion is some would agree with you and some wouldn't. But that's for them to decide and them to say. Not me, not you.

As for caring what you say, I don't actually decide that by poster. I decide that by post. When I see something I want to comment on, I do. When I don't want to comment, I don't. OK, the former is a lot more common then the latter. But I actually don't need to decide what I think of the poster before I decide whether I care about the post or not. For me it's content, not personality. And BTW, I mock a lot of people who claim to be fans and rip the team, that's not something I just mention with you either.

sorry mate but that is a mistake in judgement IMO :lol:

There might be any number of valid reasons for not bringing Vick here - this is about finding players that help your franchise and not just for the short term but for the next few years - It's not about filling out your fantasy roster

bringing in McNabb might turn out to be a mistake but I still don't think so - we'll find out next year if he's still with us

I might not agree with Kaz much but I do happen to think he's shown a fair amount of knowledge about the NFL and especially about the Redskins

McNabb will not be with us next year. Anyone who says they wouldn't take Vick needs to be on some type of medication. You guys should join the Redskins front office, you would fit in great

Dave, they don't like Vick cause he's just a bad person.. they can't dare say no to his skills.

As for the thread, Shanahan's shown his disconnect with the Skins fanbase by making this QB change vs dalass. So FINALLY, I'm off of our coaches bandwagon.. I mean that whether we win or lose vs the cows.

I'm still riding the Redskins band wagon and I'm still hopeful that this FO will show they can make this franchise back into a consitently competitive team again - I hope that Shanahan and Allen are learning from their mistakes and moving forward with their plans - we shall see and time will soon tell the real reasons for this week's decisions

I think that there are a lot of different ways to "interpret" the thinking behind this decision but I'll let the whiners and the doubters have the floor for now

I just don't agree that this is being done for a lot of the reasons posted here - I think these 2 guys know what they're doing and are trying the best they can to make this franchise great again as soon as they can

I want to personally thank Mike Shanahan, Danny Snyder, and the players (yes the players too) for doing their best to destroy this rivalry in a childish attempt at convincing the fans this game is to evaluate talent to better the team.

I think everyone knows whats going on here. I have lost a lot of respect for this organization as a whole. How do you not go out there and absolutely try to murder Dallas. If for nothing else do it for the fans, the lifeline, the money that keeps this 85 nissan with spinners running.

Some people have mayor problems rejecting authority figures, regardless of how incompentent. I don't, and I don't whine. Show us some evidence that Shanny and Allen know what they are doing. If enough's there, I'll bow and scrape.

Ok, now I am with you. You are our moral compass. Great. I do understand and I am actually a strong Christian myself. But I firmly believe running a boys choir and a football team are two different things and I am sick of sucking. Someone like Haynesworth, who is probably not a good person AND isn't dedicated to football, no way. Someone like Vick, who is a questionable person and is committed to football I certainly would give a second chance

Of course, it doesn't matter now. I am sure the Eagles front office got a good laugh at our expense and they will go on to play the other good organization in the NFC east for a division championship today

On the other hand, we will play the other joke of a NFC East team with no shortage of drama, the Cowboys, to see who finishes in last

Ironic ain't it. The Giants and Eagles quietly go about their business of building good teams and the Cowboys and Redskins win the offseason and drama meter every year but nothing more

If character was a requirement, the league would be forced to contract for lack of qualified players. Quite frankly, I don't care if these players are screwing their sister and mine at the same time. That's their business. The time they spend on the football field is mine. If the Washington Redskins were 13-3 or 12-4 with Michael Vick at QB no one here would be discussing his character.

It's also not true that a Redskins fan would care more about his character than about the Redskins team successes. Winning resolves most differences.
