Competition is always measured against YOURSELF. You compete against YOURSELF always. Win or lose, if you improved, you are better off. You remain HUMBLE at all times knowing that you do not and cannot control what the competition does. You only control what you do and how you improve EVERY time.

Unfortunately even when I compete against myself I generally LOSE, so that's something I avoid. I have no patience or interest in enduring the hard times to get better in the end. That's never been something I've seen any value in.

So then if you admit you don't know how to win yourself, is it possible you don't know how others should achieve the task either?

Look brother, i understand that this is catharsis for you. You are blowing off steam by your own admission. However, this thread is about how we see our Team improving and investing the kind of effort that you refuse to invest yourself.

Some people wish to see in their team their same competitive spirit. Others, however, use the team as a place where they deposit their desires for improvement when they are not willing to make the sacrifices to be better at whatever they do.

Easy to criticise others. More difficult to set a high standards for ourselves. Is there a COMPLACENCY thread elsewhere?

Although, I have had my butt kicked a good number of years ago in a national sports US Sports Championship held in Trenton, New Jersey, and earlier this year in Cincinnati, in another hobby US National Open.

Anyone notice how nasty Suisham is now in PITT? Im convinced its coaching. I know all coaches have their specialties, what is Danny Smiths? Is he a punters guy, kickers guy or returns guy? I think its safe to say he is not a kickers guy, because while they are here they suck, and when they leave they are awesome. We need a ST coach who can actually coach them up, or an ASST or something, ANYTHING!

I know how to win. That's not the problem. The issue is actually being able to carry through on the physical end of things.

I know how to win. That's not the problem. The issue is actually being able to carry through on the physical end of things.

Not quite, but close....

In my mind the perfect basketball player hits every open jump shot he takes from a reasonable position on the court. If he can't hit the shot from where he's standing, he doesn't take it.

In my mind the perfect baseball player hits .450 but can also field, bunt, run, and understands the mental aspect of the game.

In my mind the perfect hockey team scores on every power play and never gives up a short-handed or power play goal.

In my mind the perfect football team scores a Touchdown on every drive. Not necessarily on every play, but on every drive.

I understand that these are unreasonable expectations. There are personal issues behind why I have these unreasonable expectations. I don't expect you to like or agree with them.

Out of 40 kickers activated this year so far Gano is #37 with his percentage. 22-32, so he missed 10 of them but I don't know if they count block kicks or muffed snaps on those? To me a good kicker not only makes them but can kick in bad weather situations. So for me I'm like, bye Gano!!!

HOWEVER!!!!!!!....... Gano missed in those situations but at the same time you have to remember he plays under the jinxed DC area clouds.. look @ Suisham for example and what he's doing now in Pitt (not a good example because he's only had 9 attempts but he hasn't missed any of them). So while I say fire the bum, I also have to remember that it really may not be his fault that he sucks... its the DC area air over Raljon.. which is really just the stadium... not even the roads leading into the stadium either because that's Landover and Landover Hills.

So in conclusion, I say Bruce Allen needs to head over to the area between Hyattsville-Wheaton and recruit one of those guys playing soccer.
