I just read an article on nflnewsandrumors.com that said Snyder is considering firing Shanny so he can bring in Gruden next year. Id put the link on here but I don't know how to do it from my Droid. Anybody else read this crap yet?[/b]

Why don't we just try a new coach every week? They'd probably find something that works sooner that way than the way they're going now....

Do not joke about it. Marketing is first and foremost for the Danny. If he could attract fans to the stadium in his reality show, he would ...

Did you all notice the LARGE amount of empty seats?

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Yes, it was like last year. If Danny would lower his ticket prices until the product on the field is better it would fill up. No one wants to pay these ridiculous prices to see this team right now.

I'm not saying I would like to see Shanny fired after just one season, but if its for a guy like Gruden, I wouldn't mind too much.

I can only hope that Snyder realizes he has much more to do with those empty seats than Shanahan.

. . . . what? Why are you laughing at me?

Gruden is all smoke and mirrors. The only coach that should be considered in this rumor ro replace Shanny would be Bill Cowher. No other coach would be able to make improvements with the old rumps we have on this team. We don't need any more X's or O's we need young talented Jims & Joes!

Snyder should be worried. How many HD Video boards or New high profile player/coaches can you bring in year after year to mask a perennial bad product?

That said, the Rat Shanahan has NOT impressed thus far. Nor has his Mouseketerr son and cohorts.

I cannot imagine this happening. But, if it did, it just might be the straw that breaks this camels back. I am willing to wait on the rebuilding effort - but only if it is truly a rebuilding effort. Bringing in Chucky and firing Shanny would just be another quick fix that would be doomed to failure. I would have not choice but to walk away from this abusive and co-dependent relationship at this point.

We have a lot of issues but I think Shanahan is staying - I do think there will be a lot of changes here, but I think that Mike & Bruce are "safe" for another year - I really don't think it's as simple as that - this franchise was in a mess and nobody's going to turn it around very quickly, nobody!

I'm glad that others noted the empty seats - I know that the weather was lousy but that would not happen if the product on the field was better

always great to see Joe Gibbs

Everyone here has to do a much better job - that includes the FO, the staff and the players but I think we get another year with this FO and we'd better see a lot more improvement than we have seen so far
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Agreed.. anyone that is even suggesting or thinking it might be a good idea to get rid of Shanahan is out of their mind.. Its been exactly 13 games into his 1st season with the team and he inherited a mess.. we have virtually no young talent with the exception of about 5 players.. Orakpo, T. Williams ( jury is still out on him IMO but he looks like he could be good for years to come ), Landry, Torain ( if he can stay healthy) and to tell you the truth I cant even think of a 5th.. Banks looks like hes gonna be a great return man and Armstrong has shown flashes but he isnt a #2 reciever in this league he just happens to be for us because we have NO ONE else.. so how can we say that our coach needs to go and our offensive coordinator sucks when they have no talent to work with.. Its McNabbs and everyone elses 1st year in the offense and things take time..

If by this time next year we are still showing no signs of improvement and our roster is still old with no real hope for the future with a stagnet offense then I can understand the calls for peoples heads but change takes time .. just because we hire a new coach doesnt mean things will change overnight but you hope that by year 2 they get the ball rolling and Im willing to wait to see what happens..

BUT to be a hypocrite about what I just said I do want Haslett gone..he just doesnt get it IMO and I think there are better coaches out there to run our defense so if anyone should have rumors about them and their job security it should be him.. My 2 cents

Smoke and mirrors?? He won a SB with Brad Johnson at QB, and went to another one with Gannon and a roster older than ours (yes i refuse to recognize that the Pats won that "tuck rule" AFC Championship game).

Exactly, he was "pretty good." and in order to win with only a "pretty good" QB you need very good coaching.

Was just wondering if anyone else had read anything else on it. How can you not react to it, the way Snyder hires and fires coaches you actually think anyones job is safe in this organization?

You mean the two coaches he fired who he'd hired in the 12 years he owned the team? I see your point...
