Official Gameday thread: Bucs vs Skins

Post by frankcal20 »

Ok people. A lot of crazy stuff coming down in Landover. Here's a few tidbits.

1. Doughty starts at Safety
2. Williams starts at RB over Torain
3. Weather conditions are 70% chance of rain
4. Grossman splitting reps with McNabb and if he struggles, will be replaced - WHAT!!!!
5. No Fat Al. Will Vonnie Holliday and Kemo step up and stop the stud RBs in TB?

Seriously, what is up with Shanahan? Is he more worried about Albert and McNabb then playing the opponent. At some point he needs to check his ego at the door. Otherwise he won't last long as the head coach for this team.

Wow, after the big run McNabb has a perfect opportunity on that last third down. His best playmaker is WIDE open. There appear to be 8 men in the box, it's a quick and easy dump pass. Any high school quarterback in the country should be able to put that ball right between the 4 and the 7. McNabb skips it to him on a bounce. WTF?

haha, McNabb just took a 20 yard sack. This is laughable. He is an atrocious quarterback.

I am actually starting to get worried that the Eagles were right and McNabb is all but done as an NFL QB. He missed a really easy pass to Cooley and then held the ball for 5 secs and got a 20 yard sack there. Throw ball please even if it is in the dirt.

It is also impressive to have over 100 yards rushing in a quarter and 0 points.

Wow . . . have you not been paying attention this week? Anyone who sees that as ego can't have been.

Our defense looks good and the Bucs can't tackle. That's a good sign of things to come.

From the perspective of our run game, this is the first breath of fresh air all year. I can't tell whether we're outcoaching them, out-playing them, or if they are just making mistake after mistake. But every time our guy touches the ball you can just about expect 6-7 yards easy.
