There are a LOT of other things that I can invest my time, energy, and money in besides this team. Life is an investment in my mind. I've invested a lot of time in this team and I don't see ANY return on that investment, so it's time to cut the losses and move on, just like you would do in the stock market.

I'm Done. I'm Out. After three decades watching and rooting for this team, I can't stand it any longer. The absolute, sheer, complete and total lack of talent and/or interest of the players, coaches, management and owner of the Washington Redskins has finally shown through fully enough that I can no longer continue to waste my time, money, energy, and interest on this team.

I will be sending registered letters to Daniel Snyder, Bruce Allen, and Mike Shannahan tomorrow informing them of this.

I wish the best to you all, the fans who continue to brave the great abyss that the Washington Redskins have become; but I cannot continue to be among you and I cannot wish anything other than failure, despair, and disgrace to what this franchise has become.

I know it's off topic, but I just don't understand this line of reasoning. The Patriots are a well run organization from top to bottom. They have a popular franchise QB who's never been in any kind of trouble, they have an excellent coach who also serves as the top personnel man and they are perpetually good. They have a great understanding of how to stay competitive year after year, they are the kind of team everyone should try to be more like.

They are the poster children for the Socialist, parity driven, mediocrity promoting style of management and play that the NFL is so completely and totally driven by these days. Can you even name 4 players on any of their Championship teams other than Tom Brady? I doubt it. They're full of has-beens and never-will-be's. 53 guys who you wouldn't recognize if you ran into them on the street. They play NOT TO LOSE instead of playing to WIN. That's totally abhorant in my mind. In sports, like War, the idea is to decimate your opponent. To leave him beaten and bloody on the field, completely devoid of desire to continue to resist. That's NOT the style that the Patriots do ANYTHING in.

Hey, I can understand the frustration .... the newbie to the board is experiencing similar frustrations that most of us have had at one time or another.

I recall a time when I allowed what transpired on Sundays to put me into a very foul mood for en extended period of time .... now I limit that effect to game time and a couple of hours afterward.

Regardless of what the Redskins do ... win or lose ... you can bet that whatever sting losing provides you ... the guys on the field who have to wake up today with the physical bruises and pain to go along with the mental agony of losing probably feel it more, and yet they have to deal with the ice and the tape and the aches and go out there and prepare for the next battle.

The best thing you can do is to not take it so personally ... the Redskins didn't lose yesterday just to make you miserable ... and if you do not own a Redskin merchandizing business, and these wins and losses don't impact your ability to feed your children ... well, you have to learn to enjoy the games ... celebrate the wins, and absorb the losses. It's a choice ... and it's up to you whether you choose to allow something you have ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL over to define your happiness.

I guess you did not watch closely in the 2007 season when they literally beat the snot out of everyone they played in going 16-0, and were accused of running it up on a few teams, even our beloved Redskins. I know they eventually fell to the Giants, but they won by an average of about 14 pts. per game. I would say that is leaving people beaten & bloddied on the field.

Let's look at that season (which unfortuantely I remember quite well).... They were caught videotaping the practices and signals of the opposing teams. The league had a down year in general. It's also never before or since come even close to being duplicated by the Patriots. It was an abhoration. One which Bill Beliscum even admits he was not totally entusiastic about because it brought added media attention and the like.

2007 was NOT your normal Patriots team. It wasn't what they expect or want to be. That's part of why the league came down on them like a ton of bricks for the Spygate scandal.

I would put a pistol in my mouth and pull the trigger myself before I would EVER, under ANY circumstances. root for the New England Patriots. The Patriots are the absolute epitome of everything that I believe is WRONG with the NFL these days.

As much as I hate to say it, two of them include the Giants and Eagles. For at least the past decade, they have both put together successful football teams on the field.

I have boycotted everything from games to jerseys, pretty much anything that would put $1 into Danny's pocket.

However, to turn your back on the team and say you are not going to watch... Sounds to me like you were not very passionate to begin with. BTW, I never got to enjoy the glory days, I have basically followed this mess since i was old enough to know what was going on.

I'm in it for ME and ME ALONE. Always have been. Maybe because there aren't a lot of Skins fans in New England.

Sounds like you already have it all figured out. Also sounds like you take life a little too seriously IMO but who am I to judge...Enjoy not dealing with any stresses that might occur from a Redskins loss, poor play and/or bad decisions, and most of us will probably still be here if you ever decide to come back and update us how you're doing as a non-fan.

You do realize that boycotts don't work?

Danny hiring an actual GM, that is not change in the right direction? Them drafting a tackle in the 1st round rather than some sexy DB, WR or RB not change in the right direction? As long as Danny stays out of personell decisions and stick with just the finaces and marketing of the team, the Skins will be once again an elite franchise.

I believe Danny realizes that the NFL is not fantasy football and he has no understanding of football in the NFL. Isn't that the reason he hired a GM?

The moves made this offseason are moves I have not seen under this franchise in quite sometime. They are finally addressing issues which will make the Skins a competitive team down the road. Mark my words, Skins will be in the playoffs and be competitive next season.

Contrary to the opinion of some others here ... I suggest you seek some serious professional help. When a football game or team has this type of effect on you, it's a symptom of a much larger issue to which you just choose to act out in such a manner.

Life is too short ... and there are too many more important matters to concern yourself with or take so seriously.
