And suck on what? Something that some random sports writer wrote? Something that you can't even provide a link for? Something that was written by someone who is obviously uneducated?
Greg Wesley? Shaun Williams? Jerome Woods? Dexter Jackson? Ahead of Sean Taylor? This is obviously a joke and therefore can not be taken seriously.

Exactly! How does a man that has not played a snap in the league yet make that list ? It's ridiculous.

Ooh, you forgot that he didn't use the correct form of you're when addressing you.
While I'm here, I'd like to point out that this is the saddest thread I've ever seen.
... I suppose I should make some sort of football comment. Fine. I'd probably switch 1 and 3. I really don't see what other people see in the undersized linebacker, but I'm willing to listen.

OK. You want some one to give you answer you found your guy right here!!!
Ok so you found 1 link. Not a few, not even 2, but 1 link hat says that Roy is better.
If you have been playing in the league for a few years there is no way that a player who hasnt took step on an NFL field should be mentioned in the same breath as you.
Now they're saying Roy is great. But I have never heard him being mentioned in the same breath as hall of famers. My man Sean is already being called the next Ronnie Lott.
When some body calls Roy the next Ronnie Lott post it; As a matter of fact PM it to SkinFan 0-16 or 16-0
You found a link written by some sorts writers who have never played, coached or even been to a ame in their entire life.
I ve seen links by Coach Dennis Green Saying that he is already better than Williams.
Sean has never took a step on an NFL field and some people are saying that next year he will be one of the greatest safteys ever.
You called for someone and I returned it. Now I expect you to return the favor.
HOLLA BACK!

Roy has, do you have a link, because Ive never heard it.
Dennis Green is an expert because he has coached in the NFL, and he has proven to be very effective.
The reason he did not pick Sean was because the Cardinals are worse on defebse than they are on offense.
There was no way that they could pass on the best offensive player in college football!

Safety
Roy Williams
College: Oklahoma
Year: Junior
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 221
Birthday: August 14, 1980
Strengths: Roy Williams may very well be the best player on Oklahoma's remarkable defense. And he's just a junior.
Big enough to possibly play LB, and certainly tough enough, Williams is a ferocious hitter who reads the run well and actively participates in stopping it. Williams is also a sure tackler, and a force even against bigger blockers.
On passing plays, Williams has excellent instincts, enough speed and the power to jam smaller, weaker receivers at the line of scrimmage. He's also a ferocious competitor who looks forward to the challenge of shutting down top wide receivers.
Areas of concern: Williams is quick, but not especially fast (4.55/40)... uhm... we're struggling here to come up with things -- Williams is a terrific prospect with room to grow. In fact, he could have the highest upside of anybody in the country.
Is he sponge-worthy?: Yes. Mel Kiper thinks Williams is one of the five best prospects in the nation, regardless of position, and he's not the only one singing Williams' praises.
Of course, there's no way the Texans will build any aspect of their game around a safety, so he's certainly not going to be the team's first pick, even if they trade down (unless the sign two stud DT's and a stud MLB in free agency, and Houston decides to finish it's strong up-the-middle defense), and there's no way he'll fall into the second round.
Which is too bad, because Williams will likely be a stud in the NFL, with the potential to possibly impact and disrupt games the same way Ronnie Lott used to in San Francisco. He's that talented.

First "tome", after telling me i'm wrong
Now this!!
HA!
And here is another one from another scouting website
: Roy Williams, Dallas Cowboys
Notes: Roy Williams was arguably the top rookie, regardless of position, in the 2002 draft. He had a team-leading 88 solo tackles, five interceptions, a pair of sacks, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and scored two touchdowns. What’s scary is that all his interceptions and most of his big plays happened in the second-half of the season—and if he further elevates his game in 2003, he’ll be the best DB in football since Ronnie Lott. He should’ve been a Pro Bowler in 2002 and will be a Hall of Famer before everything is said and done
And who cares if they have compared him to Ronnie Lott at this point, he hasnt played a game!
Im sure Ryan Leaf was COMPARED to Marino.
Roy is proven!
Look, nobody disputes the talent of Roy Williams. That's just plain silly. He's a fine DB, and likely will go on to be the next (insert your favorite DB here). Still, ranking a man who isn't even technically a "rookie" yet in a list with last years starters is nonsense.
It's even insulting to those who HAVE played at the Pro level.
This time, next year, let's do it again for a more honest assessment of Taylor's skills.

If I'm Matt Millen, who is supposedly comfortable with the idea of bypassing Harrington and building around second-year quarterback Mike McMahon, a fifth-round pick in 2001, I'm asking myself the following question in the coming two weeks:
How will I deal with it if Harrington goes on to become one of league's next big stars, while my team's fate rests with a player who won one of his three starts as a rookie, played in a losing program at Rutgers, and has struggled at times to stay healthy?
There are those within the league who believe that when it gets right down to it, Millen won't be able to answer those questions definitively enough to spurn Harrington. And that all of Detroit's smoke signals about Texas cornerback Quentin Jammer are just designed to get somebody interested in trading up for him, so that the Lions can drop down into the No. 5 through 10 range, pick up another second rounder, and still get Harrington or Oklahoma safety Roy Williams, whom Millen considers the second coming of Ronnie Lott.
From SI.

So let me get this straight... you tell us that Sean Taylor can't be taken at face value because he's never played a down and then curiously, you post articles about Roy Williams from BEFORE he was drafted... before he played a game... do you honestly think that flies?
here's taylor's SI write-up this year --
Here's Williams from 2002...
Wow. it's almost the same write-up... go figure.
Hard to tell when one of them hasn't stepped foot on an NFL field... hence the stuipidity of the posted list.
TheKey... personal attacks like the one you directed at jake are not allowed or tolerated anywhere but in the Smack Forum. You will be suspended if you continue to break the rules.
I don't think you'll get any arguments that Williams is a great football player from anyone here... whether he's a Cowbitch or not... do a search and you'll find numerous threads from me personally praising him.
But so what?
Taylor will be great too. Will he be as good as Williams?... only time will tell... can Redskin fans live with having the one of the best safeties in the league if Williams or Reed or Dawkins still end up being better?
oh, probably.
As soon as we see Meshawn blowing snot bubbles, we won't really care that Williams may or may not have knocked him out a little more.

here's taylor's SI write-up this year --
POSITIVES: Big, game-changing safety who could be used at a variety of positions. Intelligent, immediately recognizes the action and quick to key the ball carrier. Efficient, plays under control and takes correct angles to the action. Remains focused, and though fierce in run defense, does not get caught out of position on pass plays. Fires up the field, displays a burst of speed but also plays sideline-to-sideline and covers a good amount of area. Hard-hitting and forces the action. Outstanding special teams player that impacts the game on coverage units.
NEGATIVES: Better facing the quarterback and slow to locate in man-to-man coverage. Lacks top hands for the interception and, as a result, defends more throws than he actually picks off.
ANALYSIS: A freak of nature with rare athletic abilities, Taylor can be a force at either safety position in the NFL. He has the physical skills, tenacity and mental attitude to immediately produce as a rookie and should quickly move into a starting lineup next season.
Here's Williams from 2002...
Positives: Has well-defined muscle definition, long arms and thick legs … Skilled man-coverage defender who has very quick feet … Stays low in his backpedal, showing fluid motions turning and running out of it … Anticipates the pass well, showing proper timing and leaping ability tracking the ball in flight … Reacts well to receivers' moves and is very active in run support … Effective blitzer with a sharp burst off the corner … Physical tackler who goes low in his stance and extends his arms to secure and wrap the ball carrier … Can plant and turn with explosion … Very comfortable working in the short area, doing a nice job of preventing the hooks and crossing patterns from developing … Turns his hips easily and gets his head around quickly on deep routes … Disruptive blitzer who gets aggressive when flushing the quarterback out of the pocket and shows consistency when closing.
Negatives: Better suited for zone coverage, as he tends to let the receiver get right on top of him when playing in one-on-one situations … Aggressive in run support, but does not always take proper angles … Appears a little stiff at times turning out of his backpedal … Needs to show better avoidance skills as a blitzer, as he has problems at times disengaging (does not extend his arms properly to keep blockers out of his chest).
CAREER NOTES
Regarded as the hardest-hitting tackler in the country at his position and one of college football premier talents, the 2001 defensive captain decided to bypass his quest for breaking school records to test his skills at the pro level by entering the 2002 draft as an underclassman … Holds the school's career record with 47 pass deflections, topping the old mark 37 by Mike Woods (1996-99) … He ranks third on the Sooners' all-time record list for defensive backs with 269 tackles (188 solos) … His 29 tackles behind the line of scrimmage established a new career record at Oklahoma, topping the old mark of 20 by Ontei Jones (1997-2000).
Wow. it's almost the same write-up... go figure.
Hard to tell when one of them hasn't stepped foot on an NFL field... hence the stuipidity of the posted list.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Roy is not going to look that good when his fat arse is trying to catch Clinton or Mr. Coles. Why dont you go and post how sucky Quincy is? Or why dont you look up qb rankings on Drew Henson?
Death to all things remotely BLUE and SILVER!!!!!!!!!!! Hail Skins
