Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Cooley's status?

Post by Deadskins »

Does anyone know what Chris' status is for Sunday's game? He's officially listed as questionable, but Yahoo says he practiced fully on Friday. Did he pass the necessary medical test? And if so, do you think Shanahan will have him involved in the gameplan?

If he's practicing fully I don't see any reason he wouldn't play. It's not like its a hammy.

That doesn't answer my question at all. Do you know if he passed the NFL mandated neurological tests all concussion victims have to pass to be eligible to play, and if so, how involved do you think Shanahan will have him in the game? Do you think he might rest him, just to be safe, even if he's eligible to play?

I don't know. I think it would be stupid to let them practice though if they don't pass the test first.

Have you tried google?

Chris Cooley practices, should play Sunday

Redskins tight end Chris Cooley participated fully in practice Thursday, clearing the way for him to play in Sunday's game at Chicago a week after he suffered a concussion against Indianapolis.

I said in the original post that he practiced fully Friday. I'm looking for information about the medical tests, and opinions on whether or not Shanahan will play him.

A third party Doctor has to clear them to even practice....

So, to use CC's words, he's good to go.

And you don't think Shanahan will hold him back at all?

If you take a look at previous Injury Reports this year, you'll see that Shanny hasn't used "Probable" except once this entire season (vs Rams), and that was probably a staff screw up. He likes to keep opponents guessing. Just like we are. :)

My guess is CC will start.

and a big "welcome to the boards" to you
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
