Trade??

Post by Mississippi Hog »

So, the trade deadline is tomorrow. Talk is that the Raiders are interested in trading any of their players. What about AH and Rogers for Asomoga (I know I spelled it wrong) a couple of pics, say 2 and 4?

I'd be good with that. Jason'd be happy, too... cut down on the picks in practice, plus, he'd have someone to watch the Auburn games with.

Shaun Rogers is supposedly up for grabs. Would trading AH for him straight up make sense cap wise? Rogers has no qualms about playing NT in a 3-4.

Would we eventually suffer any cap penalties from trading AH once the CBA is renegotiated though. Maybe I am just playing too much Madden. Seriously though, if not, and AH isn't a good fit for what we want to do why don't we trade him.

If I was the Skins I would want Rogers AND Lights Out Merriman. Are there any free agent free safeties available?

Free agent safety Mike Brown (former Bear) is available. He is definitely a tackling safety, not a coverage guy, like the Skins need. They already have Landry for that role. For coverage guys, not so pretty. There is my hometown hero, Tyrone Carter. He is a Minnesota native, former Gopher, and decent coverage safety. Sadly, I don't think he would do much better than Doughty or Moore, but something needs to be done there. You would think on positional value alone, you could get a safety straight up for Haynesworth. I guess nobody should/would pay the sorry fat sap. I would trade him for a couple left over pink cleats from Breast Cancer Awareness Month at this point...

I loved how JLC took one final stab at trying to start an AH trade rumor Sunday morning. What a tool.
