how 'bout sychronized swimming? why should that be an Olympic event?

Football needs to be an Olympic Event ;)

Can you imagine any country even fielding a team? I mean, some countries could put them together, but the beating they would take would be unbelievable.

Canada could probably put together a team, but they would probably lose to most Division 1 teams pretty easily.

I know Japan could put together a team, but it would scary to watch. In around 1991, William and Mary (a D-1AA team) sent a team over to Japan to play a team of college all-stars. William and Mary won like 73-0. Obviously they would be improved by now, but not enough to step onto a field with an NFL team.

Emmitt Smith was trying hard to get football to be an Olympic Sport a few years back, but there just isn't enough international interest.

On a side note, I would like to nominate beer pong as the most useful sport ever...

On the college level. They don't have a professional league or anything. Remember that Japanese wide reciever that was on the Redskins for our trip to Osaka?

i'm sure i'll get blasted for saying this, but i'd say.....nascar. i just don't get what's so exciting about driving around in circles. and synchronized swimming would be a close second.

You know what's even worse? NASCAR radio. They do that now, and it's the sound of the cars driving in circles while the announcers try to talk over it.

Maybe he only watched when they wore the really tight shorts. I have no feelings toward the game one way or the other, so I don't personally think it's repulsive. On a lonely night I may even turn on a WNBA game ...

I just think Basketball is a sport where one good player will make your team great. Also, big offensive/defensive lineman like me are bad at it.

For an Eagle's fan, General Failure finds a way to informatively write:

Unbelievable! Now we can all sit at home by our big radio drinkin' our Bud (after we're done kissing our sister) and listening to NASCAR?!?!?!

I've heard it all now!

I selected 'other' and will nominate Curling... that goofy Canadian sport where then push the stone down ice with what looks like broom sticks.

...and, yes - the Black Widow pool lady is hot.

Did you even watch the NBA finals? Or watch the Olando Magic? Just because there are only five players on the court doesn't mean it isn't a team sport.

As a fellow dumb lineman, may I remind you that we are bad at all sports other than football. If you are talented enough to hit a baseball or kick a soccer ball, then you are really a tight end...
