The argument about Dmac throwing hard passes knocking down receivers... "lasers" and such. What rubbish! Hard throws close short gaps faster and make it impossible for defenders to react. Brett favre even w tendinitis at 41 would break four of my fingers and three ribs at fifteen yards even if I wore the caps goalie uniform w pillows on front.... Or something like that. Hard throws are not one of our problems

McNabb's value doesn't come so much from his playing ability (which is pretty mediocre at this stage of his career, as he's shown thus far IMO) his value comes from leadership. He's a high character guy who is a mentor to the young players and a respected locker room presence with the veterans.

The guy still skips throws across the dirt, throws ridiculous interceptions and is not an accurate passer. People who disagree are just fooling themselves.

All kidding aside. Having Mcnabb as our QB is a huge plus.

What ridiculous INTs? He has the lowest INT percentage in NFL history. Maybe you're confusing him with Favre.

Ramsey, Wuerfell, Mattews....HELLOOOO!

I'm with ya on that CLL. When Mcnabb walks on the field I always feel like he can make something good happen. I haven't felt that way about a Redskins quarterback in a very long time.

55,
His physical tools haven't dropped off hardly at all. He is exactly who we thought he was and they (the EGirls) let him off the hook!

It still amuses me how people think he is going to all of a sudden be this accurate passer. Have these people not been watching him for the last decade? They shouldn't expect him to be something that he isn't!!!!
He is exactly what he has always been, a streaky QB that doesn't turn the ball over very often and can use his legs to get himself out of trouble. He used to frustrate the hell out of me as a Skins fan when he was with the EGirls, because he would play like crap all game right up to the point were he would put together a game winning drive.

He is a winner, a leader, and gives this team the best chance they have had to win since Brad Johnson and is the best QB we have had since the last QB the EGirls traded to us (some guy that wore #9)!

Maybe b/c the people who are complaining about accuracy wasn't behind the investment in the veteran QB in the first place. He's here now, and for the next 2-3 years, he'll be our starter if we're lucky. It doesn't mean that we all stood behind the trade. It means he's a Redskin now and he will be supported (by me at least). Doesn't mean that he'll go without criticism. And with the other side of the coin that some people refuse to acknowledge (i.e. the first 1/2 of the Packers game), he DOES come with flaws. And it's painfully apparent when it's one of those days (or halves).

I was really upset the first 1/2 of the game. I'm not gonna lie. Looking back, it's like every game has to be a love hate relationship, and that's what's hardest to me.

I don't think enough of the Donovan lovers give enough credit to the defense for keeping us in the games that allow him to buckle down for that one quarter or one half he's going to play with efficiency. B/C without the defense, we couldn't afford Donovan to be streaky.
...any given Sunday....

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

Donovan has never been a very accurate QB. That's not his MO. He throws a lot of balls low so his receiver is the only one who will be able to catch it. That it also why he is the lowest intercepted QB of all time, as someone else alluded to on here already. I still think, as a franchise, we would have been better off trading up and drafting Bradford for the long term, but you can't deny that McNabb himself is just a winner. He may not look pretty doing his thing most of the time, but he makes enough plays for your team to win.....and that's something we haven't had here in a long long time. Instead of nitpicking the guy, you should be enojying it. We're tied for 1st place in the NFC East, and our 3 wins have come against the three most picked teams to come out of the NFC this year.

I personally don't think we've seen the best of Donovan yet. I think he's played below his ability in all 3 of our wins, and he only played to his ability in the loss to the Texans. (Thats judging from what I've seen him do with the Eagles.) When this offense really kicks in and it becomes second nature is when I think we'll see the best of McNoober. Here's to hoping its this week against the Colts. HTTR!!

I agree with you guys... Let's see the Redskins set up a run game and watch what happens. Every team has been able to commit to the pass. I agree, McNabb has been inconsistent in his passes and definitely missed a few that should have been completions. However, the Redskins haven't exactly been able to have a methodical half-run-half-pass scoring drive that started in their own territory.

I am impressed with the Redskin fans. I really don't see too many Donovan haters on here. You're treating the man, even after seeing that he is by no means perfect, the way that the other team's fans should have treated him for 11 years. And yes, a good defense does help immensely, and I think that we have one.

I also agree with the poster that said you always feel that DM can pull out a win at the end. It doesn't always happen, for sure, but it's neat to have a qb that gives you that feeling.

Didn't Countertrey bring up the point that he "grew up" in a system with no running game? His breakout preformance/s shouldn't necessarily depend on the run game, if past history is a good indicator.

Right?
