It was just reported and everything I'm seeing is positive regarding supporting him, what are you referring to?

My prayers are definitely with him. If there people out there saying anything negative about Haynesworth during this time they have no class.

I'm not referring to this thread in particular, but I lurk many places and the support shown has been low. Albert threads based in negativity get to 20 pages in 20 seconds. Just disappointing to me, this is above football, above a game. Show the man, the human being some support. #shrug maybe I'm just weird.

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about Alberts brother and my thoughts go out to his family, I know I would be completely wrecked if I were in his shoes.
Second, aren't we here to discuss the game and the players in it based on our point of views as fans whether it be positive or negative?
I don't know or see Haynesworth the man; my (and I would guess most others) discussion here is based on the football player - on a different and
impersonal level.

Yep, but this isn't about football. This is about another person, a Redskin player going through a tragic time in life.
I'm just saying separate the 2 for a second and show another human being some love and support. We as Redskin "fans" if not anybody else, should be able to do that.

Washington Redskins lineman Albert Haynesworth will be with his family in Nashville on Sunday for a memorial motorcycle ride for his half brother, who was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday, and will not play against the Green Bay Packers, according to a team source.

You're not weird, you have perspective. You can differentiate fandom from real life. The bashers at this time may be redskins fans, but they're not my kind of redskins fans and not the kind I've found here.

Congratulations on being some of the only members of the board that didn't have any issues with Haynesworth and the way he handled the situation with the team this year...
Does it feel even better to try and tie together fans negative reaction to his role with the team and the tragic loss of his brother?
Get over yourselves, nobody has posted anything negative about Haynesworth since his loss.
Support the troops, especially our snipers.

I have been an AH basher and I was the third in the thread expressing condolence for him and haven't bashed him since the news came out. I haven't changed my views much, but I agree with you now's not the time for that. So on that part I agree with you. But I don't know what you're talking about because I don't see people bashing him at the moment and while I agree with you that it's inappropriate not to show some support at the personal loss of a Redskin, I don't consider your non specific finger pointing appropriate either. If you have a specific issue, get it out there. If you don't, don't be so high and mighty. Just my opinion.
Hail to the Redskins!

Really? Sorry the comment hit so close to home, but someone pointed out that they had seen negative comments NOT HERE, BUT ELSEWHERE regarding AH since the loss. The time and place for discussing his faults and rightfully bashing his attitude isn't right now; a day or two should not be too much ask for a repreive. Or is that perspective being too full of myself?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you missed his sarcasm, which he cleared up in the same sentence, and you guys are on the same side...

Always a possibility. If I did, I retract the post.
