Good win, love seeing the guys fight for #5. D was finally figuring stuff out. Carlos needs to practice more with the WR's or at least wirth the TE's. learn how to darn catch or just bat it down lol, don't even try. That 2nd half O looked more like prevent O, we seriously need to get Betts back in the roster. Heyer, for cryin out loud DUDE! your killin us.
#21 (36) This IS and will always be the High watermark where all new DB's are measured.

Dude, this was huge win. It was ugly, but it was awesome. A few takes
We need to bring back Hunter Smith. Bidwell sucks
Banks will be on the roster for the remainder of the year. Awesome punt return.
Ryan "all" Torain looked good. Thank God Portis pulled himself out of the game after the first rush because he would have been stopped short of scoring on the next play. Torain ran the guy over. That was awesome.
Zo is much less of a liability on defense than Carter. He did well I thought. What a hit on the kick off!
McNabb played well enough to win. Bad stats, but he avoided a few sacks during the game that could have been very bad, and you have to LOVE how we have a QB that knows how to slide.
Heyer played well, but got way to many penalties. I don't mind a hold or two coming from a backup, but the false starts came at really bad times. Can't wait to get Williams back.
Carlos has got to....ah forget it.
I love the fact that Kolb was given that extention and will be the starter there starting next year when Vick leaves via free agency. Was not impressed with him at all.

Betts back on the roster??? huh? Why? That dude has never complimented Portis, and did you watch him today in the Saints game? The guy is not good.

I don't think Portis is that good, and he's certainly not a good fit for our O-line. Betts was actually a better fit for our line. I think Torain is better than Tortus.

No matter how I look at this, I cannot for the life of me understand the upside of Bidwell over Hunter Smith...
Smith is a better punter.
Smith is a better holder.
Smith provides a trick play aspect that forces teams to stay honest...
Bidwell... inconsistent... clearly not clutch...
While we are here, what was the upside of not bringing the best long snapper of the decade back this year??? I have seen more low and high snaps in 4 games than we saw in years of Ethan the Red Snapper.

I think by the end of the year, Torain will be the starter. Not that that means much because they are splitting carries at this point

Now that my adrenaline is gone I figured I would add my point.
Ryan Torain has to be our feature back for here on out.. Portis doesn't score on that drive, and most liekly gets stopped short. Many times Torain made plays after getting hit early, and looked quick and powerful pushing the pile. I love my man Portis, and I would love to see him retire in a skins uniform. He can be a great 3rd down back becuase he can read blocks faster then anyone, but watching Portis run compared to Mccoy on the eagles was night and day, and then watching Torain was not so much..
I knew A. Sammual would lock down Moss today. He is a prime CB when it coms to covering short fast WR's, and I was glad to see Armstrong come alive again. He should of had 2 catches for big gains, but the wind took the ball way out of bounds, and he somehow still caught it.. I think Armstrong should take Galloways spot higher on the depth chart.
Banks must of suprised the coaches. I was amazed to see him get so many attempts. I don't agree with the package though. Throwing him and Moss on one side of the field to throw a screen.. Well, it had to be obvious it was going over there.
Defense looked much improved, and i'm hoping Zo is the new starting OLB.. Guy has quick feet for being so big, and reminds me alot of a few LB's from the steelers.

Betts is NEVER again going to be a starter anywhere... The Saints have him because they were desperate. He got cut in preseason... and did not get picked up. The Saints will cut him again, as soon as there is an alternative.

The win was great, I'll take any win the NFC east. Even ugly wins like today.
Our pass rush was horrible. Kolb looked scared and we never blitzed him. Against the Boys we blitzed from all over, the past three games our rush has disappeared and I think it's because Haslett is not rushing many guys. He seems very tenative to me. On the last play, he had two guys rushing...that's it! I do not agree with that defense. You can't give the qb that much time to set his feet and get off the hail mary. A hail mary is the only play that can beat us in that situation, so pressure him and make him throw it before he wants to throw it...I'd rush 4-5 guys at the qb and keep the rest back in coverage.
Would anyone have guessed that 3 guys named, Torain, Banks and Armstrong would have made BIG plays in a win and Moss would have NO catches -- and we'd beat the eagles in filtha-delphia?
Great win...beat the Packers at home Sunday and we'll all forget the ugly loss in St Louis.

We didn't win the game so much as we did less than the Eagles to lose it. The only positive to take away from this game is the W, because we played very poorly on offense, defense, and special teams. It's sad how bad the NFC East is this year.

i also think torain will be starting. i picked him up off waivers in my fantasy league. CP is teaching him the finer points of being an elite back. in a couple weeks we will see an explosion from torain.

I couldn't care less if you like it or not. If you think that that was good football then so be it. I don't. I'm glad that we want but I can't get excited over such a poorly played game. Both teams played like garbage.

Can't say that I agree. Before he hurt his ankle CP was playing better imo. CP was averaging 5.5 ypc today, compared to Torain's 3.9. Torain has done a decent job so far, but CP is the better runner and blocker.

Anything further needs to be taken to the smack forum if you two are gonna continue to to back and forth.

I swear that my life flashed before my eyes with that jump shot in the endzone at the very last second.
Living in PA, getting the looks all week long while wearing the colors...and Sunday night, it's "Who you lookin' up at?"
Or maybe not. Whatever. I'll take the "W" any way it comes.
I wonder how Carter is handling the demotion? Hopefully, we haven't alienated a guy that I always thought bled the B & G. I'm sure it had to happen, looking like he does in open space...but does it make him better or more expendable?

I can't believe all this "Heyer sucks" crap in this thread. The guy had a great game, aside from a couple of false start penalties. I just saw a breakdown of the Torrain TD run, and Stephon made not one, but two key blocks on the play. He wound up driving his man seven or eight yards down the field and out of the play.

Um, he had two false starts PLUS the holding penalty that likely cost us a td. Instead of 1st and goal from the 3 his holding penalty backed us up to the 13. We had to kick a fg as a result. 3 penalties on one offensive linemen is inexcusable. Making a good block on Torain's td run doesn't excuse the garbage play that we've consistently seen from him.
