I don't see any defenders about to hit Number 43, so how does the picture show that Brown will wrap the ball as he explodes into whoever dares try to tackle him?
Why assume that the defenders were not trying to strip the ball? Brown's coach, George Allen, used his defense as an offensive weapon. Did coaches just now discover the advantage of a turnover?

That's Larry Brown right?
Yes... and boo the hold all you want... the man rarely put the ball on the ground. He was unconventional in many ways...
Guys rarely went for strips back in the day like teams go for today. So that could have something to do with it..
In my opinion the old school NFL games was much more brutal. You can take it all the way back to leather helmet days. I mean seriously leather helmet? Can u imagine the concussions? I can think of a couple toothless hall of fame linebackers. That right there tells you how brutal the game was then.
I still love the game. But, I remember in the eighties it was still a brutal game. It still is a very physical game. I am just saying the old school guys would bleed all over the field and that was normal.
Oh yeah I love the gold pants.
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!

That's only brutal due to the inferior equipment. Pound for pound, these guys are bigger, faster, stronger than they used to be. It's the choker chain of the NFL and the equipment that make it 'less brutal.' Today's men playing with '30s equipment would probably leave dead bodies on the field.
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!
GSPODS:
The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.
