Duane Brown suspended.

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Duane Brown suspended.

Post by brad7686 »

HOUSTON -- Houston left tackle Duane Brown was suspended Tuesday for four games without pay for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs, joining linebacker Brian Cushing on the sideline for the same infraction.

Brown, the Texans' first-round draft choice and the 26th overall pick in 2008, said he wouldn't appeal the suspension, meaning his next game will be Nov. 1 at Indianapolis. He will miss the undefeated Texans' home showdown Sunday with the Dallas Cowboys and the next three games.

Brown apologized to the team's owners, coaches, fans and his teammates.

Thought that guy looked awfully good the other day... Now I know why... Wish they found out sooner now the Cowgirls will probly find a way to beat em.

you're not really serious are you? Maybe you don't know about these guys >
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'm just saying that it will be easier for them to have a chance with Ware going against a backup. They will probly lose, but it stinks that the skins were playing a roidhead. Cushing did the same thing and he got to keep his ROY. Never thought I would say this, but the NFL needs to take a page out of the MLB's book on this one, cheating is serious.

What? MLB has never taken PEDs seriously. They are only just now starting to investigate this, and still aren't taking any real disciplinary actions against those who use them. It's so bad that Congress feels they have to pick up the slack, as if they had nothing better to do.

True, but at this point MLB does take it seriously and would not let anybody keep their rookie of the year or go into the hall if they were all roided up. In the NFL, you get 4 games and a slap on the wrist.

I'm sure there are a lot more 'roidheads' out there than the sparse few who get busted...kinda like DUIs on a Friday nite.
...any given Sunday....

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

Agreed - there are a lot more guys on steroids than the NFL is "finding" PLUS the system for testing and then suspending players is a quagmire

what I was pointing out to brad was that this guy wasn't the reason we lost and even if he'd not been on the field, it would not have changed the result - I'm sure there are guys that we have on our team and playing on other teams that have not been "caught" - it is what is and personally I think it's a bit of a joke

it will be interesting to see what sort of game Ware has this week without this guy playing LT
